Lindsey Graham to Sean Hannity: "We've got the votes" to confirm
During his interview with Sean Hannity, Sen. Lindsey Graham, the chairman of the Senate Judiciary Committee, said that Republicans have the votes to confirm President Trump's Supreme Court nominee . The woman will be sworn in before the election.
Senate Republicans have enough votes to confirm a replacement for late Supreme Court Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg before the Nov. 3 election, Senate Judiciary Committee Chairman Lindsey Graham, R-S.C., told "Hannity" Monday. "It's pretty obvious that if they [Democrats] want an outcome, they'll just destroy anybody's life to keep the seats open," Graham told host Sean Hannity.
"They said they tried to destroy Brett Kavanaugh so they could fill the seat -- they were dumb enough to say that," Graham added. "I've seen this movie before. It's not going to work, it didn't work with Kavanaugh. We've got the votes to confirm Justice Ginsburg's replacement before the election. We're going to move forward in the committee, we're going to report the nomination out of the committee to the floor of the United States Senate so we can vote before the election. Now, that's the constitutional process."
This is the video of the interview:
If Republicans have the votes to confirm, which I think they do, that means that Democrats will wage full-out thermonuclear war on President Trump's nominee starting the night before the nominee is named. If you thought Kavanaugh's confirmation hearings were bad, this nominee's confirmation hearing will make that look timid.
With Kavanaugh's confirmation hearing, Democrats were worried that Kavanaugh's Catholic pedigree would influence his thinking on so-called reproductive rights cases. This time, instead of replacing a Republican-appointed justice, they'll be appointing the Court's Liberal Lioness replacement. That isn't just a cultural shift. It's a seismic shift in judicial philosophy.
Mitch McConnell is right in warning his caucus of the upcoming fight:
"Already some of the same individuals who tried every conceivable dirty trick to obstruct Justice Gorsuch and Justice Kavanaugh are lining up ... to proclaim the third time will be the charm," McConnell said in what amounted to the official opening salvo in the war over the vacant seat. "The American people are about to witness an astonishing parade of misrepresentations about the past, misstatements about the present and more threats against our institutions from the same people, the same people who already have been saying for months ... they want to pack the court."
He added: "Two years ago a radical movement tried to use unproven accusations to ruin a man's life because they could not win a vote fair and square. Now they appear to be readying an even more appalling sequel."
After Chairman Graham's statement, Sen. Cory Gardner announced that he'll support President Trump's nominee. Even if Mitt Romney votes to not confirm President Trump's SCOTUS nominee, Republicans have enough votes to confirm, with Vice President Pence casting the tie-breaking vote. I'm confident that Romney will vote to confirm, partially because he's generally on board with strict constructionist judges, partially because voting against confirmation and for impeachment means the end of his political career.

LTE of the uninformed?
This LTE wasn't written by a well-informed group of people. Either that or it was written by some exceptionally dishonest people. The LTE starts by saying "We are voting for Joe Biden and Kamala Harris for a multitude of reasons. We want to see growth in our economy; focus on climate change and our environment; support for our farmers and small businesses; an end to COVID-19; peace, law and order in our cities without racial tension."
Team Obama-Biden presided over the weakest recovery in US history. If you're looking for explosive growth, you have to eliminate the Obama-Biden team. Since the Biden-Harris team's economic policies are just a continuation of the Obama-Biden policies, we shouldn't expect robust economic growth from them.
The writers say that they want "an end to COVID-19." If they're serious about that, they should be voting for President Trump. Thanks to Operation Warp Speed, 3 companies are in the final phase of developing a vaccine. It's likely that they'll get FDA approval before the end of 2020. They're already manufacturing the vaccine so that it can be distributed the minute it's approved.
If these clowns are serious about "law and order in our cities," they should consider the fact that Joe Biden didn't say a thing about the rioting until after Labor Day. The rioting started on Memorial Day. In other words, Biden was nowhere to be found for the entire summer on the subject.
We are voting for Biden and Harris to restore our dignity globally; restore the Voting Rights Act; strengthen our Social Security program for seniors; lift people out of poverty; re-join the Paris Climate Agreement; regain our status as a world leader in NATO.
That's breathtakingly dishonest. President Trump has the world's attention. Proof is found in the Bosnia-Kosovo peace agreement. More proof is found in the Abraham Accord between the US, Israel, UAE and Bahrain. As for NATO, President Trump has insisted on NATO countries paying their fair share of the budget. That's triggered an increase of $500,000,000,000 in spending from US NATO allies. Under Obama-Biden, the US paid to defend western European nations. During the Trump administration, NATO's budget has significantly increased, thanks to NATO allies paying a greater share. That's what leadership looks like. We don't need to return to the Obama administration's lead-from-behind strategy.
This LTE was written by people who are either dishonest or ill-informed. Since they're supporting Democrats, I'm betting that they're dishonest. The Democrats' attachment to the truth is limited at best.

McConnell has the votes
This morning, Mitt Romney announced that "he will support holding a vote on President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee this year." That means that Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell has the votes to confirm the next justice before the election. This is a major victory for President Trump, Sen. Mitch McConnell and Lindsey Graham.
With this confirmation, the ideological balance of the Supreme Court will change dramatically. Swapping out RBG, then swapping in Amy Coney Barrett, if that's President Trump's pick, is a hole the size of the Grand Canyon ideologically speaking. But I digress.
Sen. Mitt Romney said Tuesday he will support holding a vote on President Donald Trump's Supreme Court nominee this year, all but assuring Republicans can push forward with filling the vacancy left by Justice Ruth Bader Ginsburg's death.
"The Constitution gives the President the power to nominate and the Senate the authority to provide advice and consent on Supreme Court nominees," the Utah Republican said in a statement. "Accordingly, I intend to follow the Constitution and precedent in considering the President's nominee. If the nominee reaches the Senate floor, I intend to vote based upon their qualifications."
Game. Set. Match. Or to use a different metaphor, "Checkmate." That doesn't mean that Democrats will go quietly. Democrats will overplay their hand just as certain as the Grand Canyon is deep or Mt. McKinley is tall.
Trump plans to announce his choice for the lifetime Supreme Court appointment on Saturday. The court vacancy has supercharged tensions in an already fraught election. While the GOP hopes the prospect of securing a 6-3 conservative majority on the court will excite voters, Democrats have denounced the push to fill the seat before the end of Trump's term as they try to gain Senate control from Republicans in November.
While there's no doubt that this GOP victory will fire Democrats up, there's little doubt that this victory will fire up Republicans, too. This is a good explanation from Sen. Romney:
In other breaking news this morning, President Trump tweeted when he'll make the announcement:
I will be announcing my Supreme Court Nominee on Saturday, at the White House! Exact time TBA.
- Donald J. Trump (@realDonaldTrump) September 22, 2020
Rest assured that Democrats will fundraise off this announcement. The truth is that they already are. The confirmation process will help Senate Republicans because Judiciary Committee Democrats aren't too bright.
Mazie Hirono, Sheldon Whitehouse, Kamala Harris and Richard Blumenthal are each capable of making idiots out of themselves without noticing that they're looking like idiots. A nominee like Amy Coney Barrett would slice and dice those legal midgets in a New York minute.

Donald Trump's blue collar union firewall
Apparently, there's nothing that will penetrate President Trump's 'Blue Collar Firewall.' That isn't surprising. While Democrats pay lip service to unions, President Trump has gotten things done that've made blue collar unions' lives better.
The Obama-Biden administration swore loyalty to the unions' right to organize. They also led the fight to kill blue collar industries like mining, energy and infrastructure trades. That led to the deterioration of their communities. At his 2016 Convention, President Trump spoke to the forgotten men and women:
After getting elected, President Trump went right to work in rebuilding communities, industries and the economy. He immediately signed off on building the Keystone XL Pipeline and the Dakota Access Pipeline. Teaming with Congress, President Trump used the Congressional Review Act to "kill five Obama regulations" implemented in the last days of the Obama administration. President Trump didn't just talk the talk. He kept that promise in a big way. Within no time, the energy industry roared back to life. That, in turn, gave people in the forgotten communities in the Midwest hope. They weren't forgotten anymore.
Thanks to the deregulation but also because of President Trump's start on renegotiating trade deals, these communities started rebuilding. That's why this is happening:
"We haven't moved the needle here," said Mike Knisley, executive secretary-treasurer with the Ohio State Building and Construction Trades Council, who estimated that about half of his members voted for Trump in 2016 and will do so again. "Even if given all the information that's been put out there, all the facts - just pick an issue that the president has had his hands in - it doesn't make a difference."
"He has a very, very, very solid foundation of our members," said James Williams, a vice president of the International Union of Painters and Allied Trades, whose surveys of members painted a similar picture. "They connect with his messaging and a lot of the fear-mongering going all the way back to when he was first elected with, 'Be afraid of the immigrant. The immigrant's here to take your job.' That resonated with our membership. They feel like their way of life and their way of living is under attack and without really understanding the dynamics at play. I mean, the immigrant worker is being abused by employers."
It resonated because cheap immigrant labor hurt union workers. It's the simple economic principle of supply-and-demand in action. Cheap immigrant labor produced an overabundance of a commodity -- labor. Companies took advantage of that situation, which hurt blue collar union workers.
Those voters, historically a bedrock of Democratic support, shifted away from the party in 2016, according to exit polls. Hillary Clinton won union voters by less than half as much as former President Barack Obama had four years earlier - and that swing alone may have been enough to account for her losses in Pennsylvania, Wisconsin and Michigan, one analysis found.
This really summarizes things perfectly:
The question this year is whether Biden can win those union members back, and by how much.
This video explains why Biden is having difficulty with blue collar union workers:

Hunter Biden's international corruption
Hunter Biden's international dealings are about to make Joe Biden's life much more complicated. Joe Biden is running on the theory that he'll restore integrity to the White House. That's BS. According to Kim Strassel , Hunter Biden's international transactions are complicated on steroids. Still, Ms. Strassel and Byron York appear to have figured out the extent of Hunter Biden's corruption.
Suffice it to say that Hunter Biden's corruption extends far beyond Burisma Holdings. That doesn't mean Hunter isn't in up past his eyeballs with Burisma Holdings. It just means Hunter didn't just focus his corruption on Ukraine. According to the executive summary of the Homeland Security report , "On April 16, 2014, Vice President Biden met with his son's business partner, Devon Archer, at the White House. Five days later, Vice President Biden visited Ukraine, and he soon after was described in the press as the "public face of the administration's handling of Ukraine." The day after his visit, on April 22, Archer joined the board of Burisma. Six days later, on April 28, British officials seized $23 million from the London bank accounts of Burisma's owner, Mykola Zlochevsky. Fourteen days later, on May 12, Hunter Biden joined the board of Burisma, and over the course of the next several years, Hunter Biden and Devon Archer were paid millions of dollars from a corrupt Ukrainian oligarch for their participation on the board."
Kim Strassel retweeted something Byron York originally tweeted:
From Johnson-Grassley report on Hunter Biden: https://t.co/KsaQad5F1k pic.twitter.com/ava3V9PyTB
- Byron York (@ByronYork) September 23, 2020
Then there's this:
- Hunter Biden opened a bank account with Gongwen Dong to fund a $100,000 global spending spree with James Biden and Sara Biden.
- Hunter Biden had business associations with Ye Jianming, Gongwen Dong, and other Chinese nationals linked to the Communist government and the People's Liberation Army. Those associations resulted in millions of dollars in cash flow.
- Hunter Biden paid nonresident women who were nationals of Russia or other Eastern European countries and who appear to be linked to an 'Eastern European prostitution or human trafficking ring.'
Hunter Biden wasn't just connected with Ukraine and China. Check this out:
Hunter Biden and his associate, Archer, had a financial relationship with Russian businesswoman Elena Baturina. Baturina is the former wife of the late Yuri Luzhkov, who was the mayor of Moscow and was fired in 2010 by then-Russian president Dmitry Medvedev over corruption allegations. Baturina became Russia's only female billionaire when her plastics company, Inteko, received a series of Moscow municipal contracts while her husband was mayor. According to reporting, 'Luzhkov used his position as mayor to approve over 20 real estate projects that were built by a Baturina-owned construction company and ultimately generated multibillion-ruble profits for his family.' In addition, a Russian investigation led to a criminal case against the former head of the Bank of Moscow, Andrey Borodin, who 'allegedly used money from the Moscow City Budget to lend money to shell companies, which ultimately transferred $443 million to Baturina.'
On Feb. 14, 2014, Baturina wired $3.5 million to a Rosemont Seneca Thornton LLC (Rosemont Seneca Thornton) bank account for a 'Consultancy Agreement DD12.02.2014.' Rosemont Seneca Thornton is an investment firm co-founded by Hunter Biden that was incorporated on May 28, 2013 in Wilmington, Del.
If Hunter Biden was an honest person at any point in his life, it hasn't showed up in this report. Further, this isn't conjecture. This is often gleaned from Treasury Department records:
It's impossible for Joe Biden to live in the DC Swamp for fifty years without getting infected by that Swamp. Joe Biden is just another pay-to-play Democrat.

Hands up, don't shoot, Part II
It's apparent that the MSM and BLM got major portions of the Breonna Taylor story wrong. It's like Part II of 'Hands up, don't shoot'. In the original Hands up, don't shoot, Michael Brown's friend told police that Brown had tried to surrender but the officer shot him in the back and killed Brown. It wasn't until the autopsy that the truth was uncovered that Michael Brown was never shot in the back.
With the Breonna Taylor tragedy, the MSM reported that "police officers have shot and killed another unarmed black person; this time a young nurse who was sound asleep in her apartment in Louisville, Kentucky." They omitted the fact that Ms. Taylor's boyfriend shot first because he thought someone was breaking into Ms. Taylor's apartment. The MSM didn't report that police knocked on Ms. Taylor's door, announcing that they were police. These aren't trivial details. These cut to the heart of this tragedy.
Democrats enthusiastically sold the MSM's narrative because Democrats thought it would hurt President Trump. They were wrong on that. Harris Faulkner and Jack Brewer got it right:
Don't miss my interview during breaking news just now with Jack Brewer @JackBrewerBSI #BreonnaTaylor #OutnumberedOT pic.twitter.com/CvhLJH6gjK
- HARRISFAULKNER (@HARRISFAULKNER) September 23, 2020
This is disgusting:
Black Lives Matter co-founder Alicia Garza suggested on Wednesday that Kentucky Attorney General Daniel Cameron sounded like a notorious segregationist and racist from the civil rights era.
Her comments came on MSNBC's "The ReidOut" after Cameron spoke about the grand jury's decision to indict one of the police officers involved in Breonna Taylor's death on three counts of wanton endangerment.
"I think what I saw this morning was a Bull Connor speech in 2020," she said, referring to the former Alabama politician. "And you're right," she told MSNBC host Joy Reid, "unfortunately, it was being given by a Black prosecutor."
BLM is as big a trouble-maker as Al Sharpton ever was. Saying that Daniel Cameron is a black Bull Connor is intentionally dishonest. It's also intended to inflame people into violent protests.
BLM intentionally spread lies. They didn't care if black people died.

They did a no-knock entry and are lying. Have they shown any body cam footage? Of course not. Take their word? You, Gary, are welcome to believe anything you want, including UAnon. They lie. They broke the door down. If somebody breaks your door down no-knock, you'd shoot. You're a Republican after all. Armed to the teeth. NRA loyal.
Response 1.1 by Gary Gross at 25-Sep-20 09:17 AM
Eric, the grand jury determined, after hearing the evidence, that the police knocked. This was confirmed by a neighbor living 1 story above Taylor's apartment. That isn't an opinion. That's a finding of fact. I know that doesn't fit the BLM narrative. Instead, it's the truth.
Yes, Taylor's boyfriend shot. He didn't hear the knock. That's what makes this a tragedy, not a crime.
Comment 2 by Chad Q at 24-Sep-20 06:13 PM
My god you are obtuse. It was a no knock warrant but they knocked and identified themselves. The boyfriend and neighbor testified that the police knocked and the neighbor said they identified themselves. As Senator Kennedy said to Pelosi "It must suck to be that dumb".
Comment 3 by Chad Q at 25-Sep-20 06:12 PM
Gary, according to audio after the shooting when the boyfriend was interviewed, he said he heard the cops knocking and he asked who it was. Still a tragedy but it gives one more piece of evidence to squash the "they didn't knock" BS the left is perpetuating.
Jason Whitlock on BLM, aka Bigots Love Marxists, Part VIII
Jason Whitlock has been writing a series on BLM. Today's article is titled "Black Lives Matter 101, Volume 8." Whitlock says that the purpose of the series is "dedicated to explaining to athletes the real agenda and impact of the BLM movement."
Thanks to Whitlock's articles, "Black Lives Matter, aka, Bigots Love Marxism, scrubbed its 'what we believe' page from the organization's website. BLM is executing a coverup. As we saw with the Nixon presidency, the coverup reveals the severity of the crime." And yes, I'm 100% certain that BLM scrubbed their website because of Mr. Whitlock's articles. Why, you ask? Because he's the only person writing about BLM's agenda. Anyone thinking that the Washington Post or CNN would report about BLM's Marxist history is kidding themselves. This is a brief overview of Bigots Love Marxism:
BLM's "what we believe" page originally exposed the movement's heavy Marxist influence. The page called for the disruption of the nuclear family. Let me quote it directly.
"We disrupt the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure requirement by supporting each other as extended families and 'villages' that collectively care for one another, especially our children, to the degree that mothers, parents and children are comfortable."
The first question people should ask is 'why would Marxists want people to think of the collective rather than the individual?' Answer that question and you'll understand why capitalism outperforms socialism every time.
When a person provides for his/her family, it's human nature to work hard and make sacrifices when needed. When a person provides for his/her neighborhood, some of whom he/she doesn't care about, it isn't human nature to work hard and make sacrifices when needed. That's why Marxism is the antithesis of capitalism.
The NFL, MLB and NBA have cast their lot with BLM. Because BLM doesn't have a positive reputation after its slogan, BLM decided to hide its roots.

The FBI's illegitimate investigation
The FBI's counterintelligence investigation into then-President-Elect Trump was illegitimate. In fact, a previous counterintelligence investigation provided the proof :
The primary sub-source for the Steele dossier was the subject of an earlier counterintelligence investigation by the FBI, and those facts were known to the Crossfire Hurricane team as early as December 2016, according to newly released records from the Justice Department that were first reported by CBS News.
CBS's Catherine Herridge reports:
"Between May 2009 and March 2011, the FBI maintained an investigation into the individual who later would be identified as Christopher Steele's Primary Sub-source," the two page FBI memo states. "The FBI commenced this investigation based on information by the FBI indicating that the Primary Sub-source may be a threat to national security."
Here's Page 1:
Here's Page 2:
Ms. Herridge later wrote "The two-page memo states the case was not reopened, and there is no indication the FISA court was ever told that the dossier source was the subject of an earlier FBI probe . " That's proof that a) the Mueller Investigation wasn't properly predicated and b) the FBI didn't notify the FISA Court that the primary subsource for the Steele Dossier was a Russian spy. Had the FBI disclosed that information, the FBI wouldn't have gotten a wiretap warrant on Carter Page.
Jim Comey, Andrew McCabe and other senior FBI officials will, at minimum, receive intense new scrutiny from John Durham. It's apparent that the Obama FBI senior staff was filled with corrupt people. The MSM will, of course, ignore that and continue touting the Obama administration as virtually corruption free.
