Joe Biden's centrist Democrat to leftist Democrat transformation

There's no question whether Joe Biden maintained a reputation for decades as a centrist. That reputation isn't withstanding the pressure of his latest presidential campaign. Byron York's article highlights how the Democrats' presumptive nominee is transforming from a centrist into a leftist.

York's first example is Biden's years-long defense of President Obama's deportation of illegal aliens. In his article, York wrote "Biden has defended the Obama administration's record on deportations against those on the left who criticized President Barack Obama as the 'deporter in chief.' Then came last month's Nevada caucuses. After ugly losses in Iowa and New Hampshire, Biden was struggling for life in Nevada and trying to appeal to the Hispanic voters who made up a substantial portion of state Democrats. All of a sudden, Biden backtracked on the Obama deportations he used to defend. 'There were too many,' Biden told Univision's Jorge Ramos. 'I saw the pain in the eyes of so many people who saw their families being deported. I know what it's like to lose family members. It was painful.'"

Biden's immigration transformation didn't stop there, though:

As the Nevada vote neared, Biden promised that if he became president he would not deport anyone, no one, under any circumstances, during his first 100 days in office . After that, Biden said he would deport only those who have committed felonies in the United States. Biden repeated the pledge at his recent debate with Sen. Bernie Sanders, his last remaining rival for the nomination.

Think about that, people. A Biden administration promises to not faithfully execute this nation's laws. In this debate, Sleepy Joe and Crazy Bernie gave the same answer on whether local communities should turn over illegal immigrants to their administration:

It doesn't get much more leftist for a Democrat than that. Joe Biden got the reputation of Blue Collar Joe for standing with coal miners, construction workers and blue collar families. Blue Collar Joe doesn't exist. Here's proof:

Biden's centrist-to-leftist transformation is complete.

Discovering spiritual sanity

Yesterday, I shared with you Pastor Max Lucado's op-ed in this post . Pastor Lucado's op-ed opened by saying "Anxiety is an out of control thought pattern. It settles over the mind like a severe weather system, spewing thunderclouds and casting lightning bolts. Life feels like an airplane in a tailspin. It feeds on what-ifs and worst-case scenarios. What if the coronavirus is unstoppable. What if a pandemic takes over? I'll be quarantined for weeks! The economy is sliding into a bear market. I'll lose my health. I'll lose my job. I'll lose it all. How will I survive on unemployment? "

Thankfully, we don't have to settle for panicked lives. As we learned from Pastor Lucado and especially from Brandon and Cameron Brundidge , we can opt for a better, healthier response. It's the official response of Discovery Church, my church home. In this video, Paul Brenhaug and Pastor Art talk about how the church will adapt to President Trump's '15 days declaration':
Early in the video, Paul explained how he was entering his home but decided to stop and pray for each of his neighbors. Taking that moment helped Paul pause for a moment, which doesn't seem like a big deal initially. The first question that people might ask is this: how will pausing benefit me? The answer is simple, yet powerful. Pausing gives people the opportunity to regain perspective.

With the world seemingly spiraling out-of-control, wouldn't a little perspective help? Imagine how much it might help if you added a simple prayer to that perspective-giving pause. It doesn't have to be long to be effective. Try this the next time you pause for perspective and prayer: Heavenly Father, the world seems like it's spinning out-of-control for me, my friends and my family. You are the God who gives peace and perspective. Lord, I pray that You give me, my family and my friends an additional helping of Your peace. Thank You, Lord. I pray these things in Jesus precious name. Amen.

How long did that take? Less than a minute, right? How much will it help unclutter your mind and relieve your stress? That's up to you. It matters whether:

  1. you're willing to take the time to pray;

  2. you're willing to trust God;

  3. you're willing to trust God's solutions rather than trusting your own solutions.

It's natural to get nervous. It's virtuous to pause, pray and gain perspective. That's the fastest path to sanity during these anxiety-riddled times.

China's dictators are Mike Bloomberg's, Joe Biden's friends

Because the Communist Chinese Party didn't tell the world about the Wuhan coronavirus, the pandemic is infecting, hurting and killing more people than needed to happen. Had the Communist Chinese Party been honest people who cared about being responsible leaders, it's possible we wouldn't have to take the dramatic steps that we're now forced into taking. Remember that they're the people Mike Bloomberg does business with and that Joe Biden thinks that the Chinese "are not bad folks, folks":
Unlike Joe Biden, Marc Thissen is an honest guy. He has a different take on things:

Want to know why the U.S. economy is in free fall? Why restaurants and bars are closing, putting millions out of work, and why the airline industry is facing possible bankruptcy? Why schools across the nation are shutting down, leaving students to fall behind and parents without safe places to send their children everyday? Why the stock market is plummeting, wiping out the retirement and college savings of millions of Americans? Why the elderly are isolated in nursing homes and tens of millions who don't have the option of teleworking have no idea how they will pay their bills?

Answer: Because China is a brutal totalitarian dictatorship.

We are in the midst of a pandemic lockdown today because the Chinese Communist regime cared more about suppressing information than suppressing a virus. Doctors in Wuhan knew in December that the coronavirus was capable of human-to-human transmission because medical workers were getting sick. But as late as Jan. 15, the head of China's Center for Disease Control and Prevention declared on state television that "the risk of human-to-human transmission is low."

These are the people that Joe Biden says "aren't bad folks, folks"? Don't feed me BS that they've changed. They haven't changed. Biden changed. President Trump calls Biden Sleepy Joe. After this, perhaps we should call him Sellout Joe instead. Is this what "not bad folks, folks" do?

If the regime had taken action as soon as human-to-human transmission was detected, it might have contained the virus and prevented a global pandemic. Instead, Chinese officials punished doctors for trying to warn the public and suppressed information that might have saved lives. According to the Times of London, Chinese doctors who had identified the pathogen in early December received a gag order from China's National Health Commission with instructions to stop tests, destroy samples and suppress the news.

I'm betting that if you polled the American people, they'd overwhelmingly say that the Chinese leaders are evil, disgusting autocrats.

I won't say that President Trump's handling of this crisis has been perfect but he's done some things that've been game-changers. For instance, calling in the CEOs of major industries (think CVS, Walmart, Walgreen, Target, etc.) and asking for their help. Think about empowering private testing companies to start putting together testing kits. Think about shutting down flights with China. That last thing alone was huge.

If China were an open and transparent society, with an accountable government, Americans might not be on lockdown today. What can we do about it? We obviously can't turn China into a democracy. But we can hold China accountable for its behavior and put a price on its lies and oppression. We can reaffirm that the advance of freedom, transparency and rule of law are central objectives of U.S. foreign policy, because the lives and safety of our citizens depend on it. And we can lay the blame for this crisis where it belongs: at the feet of the Chinese Communist Party.

Another thing we must do is uproot our manufacturing of medical supplies from China, then have them manufactured here in the United States. We can't afford to be held hostage by brutal dictators.

We can't be held hostage by Joe Biden's friends. This fall, when you enter the voting booth, remember who raised tariffs on China when China when they didn't obey US laws. Remember who thinks that a brutal communist dictatorship are "not bad folks, folks." Then ask which man's beliefs align most with yours. I'm betting that most honest people will vote Trump if this is the most important question to them.

UPDATE: Roger Simon's article pretty much agrees with my post that Joe Biden can't be trusted with dealing with China:

Joe Biden is the last man who should be dealing with that. This isn't only because it wasn't long ago that Biden blithely dismissed the notion that China was an enemy (before walking that back following a barrage of criticism). Nor is it just because of the intimations of corruption with his son and others that involve China, as well as Ukraine, which should be reason enough by itself.

Sellout Joe knows too many of China's dishonest leaders. What's worst is that the CCP (Chinese Communist Party) knows that Sellout Joe is spineless enough to push around. Sellout Joe might put up a brave front initially but that won't last long before he caves.

Joe Biden's Pennsylvania problem

Joe Biden has a Pennsylvania problem and it isn't going away. Blue Collar Joe disappeared when he promised to stop fracking . He can't run from that because he's threatened that multiple times.

He's trying his best to thread the needle. Biden wants to win over Bernie voters, many of whom are environmental activists, while he holds onto his Blue Collar Joe image. Joe's problem is that he's lost that Blue Collar Joe image because he's been an enthusiastic partner with President Obama in shutting down the fossil fuel industry. Once you've gone over to the dark side, there's really no returning. People might forgive but they won't forget.

They won't forget because this isn't just a job to them. This is their family, their community, their lives.

Jeff Nobers, executive director of the Builders Guild of Western Pennsylvania, estimates there are 30,000 people in the region directly employed by the shale industry "and at least 75,000 more jobs downstream. There is no other way to say this other than this industry is [a] major economic driver in our state."

Nobers said the Builders Guild covers the 33 counties of western Pennsylvania. "Between the trade unions and the contractors, you're in the neighborhood of 60,000 people that are either members of unions or they work for contractors or in their offices and so forth," he said of his organization.

That's before factoring in these men and women's families and relatives. I've said this before but it's worth repeating. If Democrats don't flip all of these 'blue firewall' states back to blue, there's no path to victory. Wisconsin, Pennsylvania and Michigan represent 46 electoral votes. In 2016, President Trump won with 306 electoral votes. That means that he'd get re-elected by simply picking off Wisconsin again. Trump is currently leading there.

He also does not understand why Biden would want to possibly alienate voters of all stripes. 'Not just the Democratic Party but the Republican Party and independents,' said Nobers.
Nobers adds these are not just blue-collar jobs, 'These are chemists, geologists, people in computer science and technology, as well as electrical, environmental, and chemical engineers, accountants, human resources, and so forth."
'You also have the security guy at the front desk. It's not just the people that work right out there in the field. It's tens of thousands of people in the industry, quite frankly. From the fella working on the pipeline all the way up to the CEO,' he said.

Strictly personal, but Biden will have to give more than a fracking ban, or not, to get Bernie voters. He will not go to Medicare for All, and that likely is a deal killer. Fifteen buck wage and tuition-free state universities would be a big step, but the medical industrial complex seems in the way of Biden beating four more. And income inequality seems to be another Biden ducked issue. If he's no better than a Repubican, why risk eight more on him, vs four more on Trump. And then there is Hunter. But that is today's feeling. By November, who knows what Trump does between now and then to change the calculus. Like war with Iran. Or some such.

I love how the lefties keep pounding the $15/hr min wage. You do realize that if the min wage goes up 25-50%, my wage has to go up to keep up with inflation and so will prices of goods and services so the min wage worker is no better off than they were at $7.50. Of course if the democrat party thought $15 was needed now, cities like St. Paul and Mpls wouldn't be phasing it in over years. They don't care about you anymore than the so called uncaring GOP does, they just blow smoke up your ass to get your vote. Oh, and just think how medicare for all would be working right now.

Democrats' dark money groups strategy

The Democrats' dark money groups plan to spend millions of dollars in key battleground states. That isn't disgusting. That's just politics. What's disgusting is that they plan on politicizing the Wuhan virus .

According to the Washington Post, "the group Pacronym is planning to spend $5 million on ads attacking Trump's response to the pandemic. Pacronym, whose board of directors includes former Barack Obama campaign manager David Plouffe, said its ads will target key 2020 swing states like Michigan, Wisconsin, Pennsylvania, North Carolina, and Arizona."

Good luck with that. The next time Democrats complain about dark money or too much money in politics, throw this information in their face:

Pacronym is the political action committee affiliated with Acronym, the non-profit who also funded Shadow, Inc . , the company responsible for the failed Iowa caucuses reporting app. Acronym is financed by a larger democratic dark money group, New Venture Fund .

In 2018, the New Venture Fund gave at least $250,000 to Acronym, Acronym's 2018 990 IRS forms show. New Venture Fund is just one of the dark money nonprofit funds under the umbrella of the for-profit, privately held consultancy called Arabella Advisors, LLC .

It isn't just that Democrats don't hate money in politics. It's that Democrats have put together networks of dark money organizations to propagandize the people. It's proof that Democrats can't live without dark money in politics.

Another Democratic PAC called American Bridge said they will also be running similar ads politicizing the pandemic in Michigan, Wisconsin, and Pennsylvania. American Bridge told the Washington Post it would be placing an additional ad on "Trump's incompetence," including "clips of Trump himself downplaying the crisis."

If that's what Democrats want to do, fine. Let's throw this back in the Democrats' faces:
In that press availability, Biden said that the Chinese "are not bad folks, folks." Let's remind people in Michigan, Pennsylvania and other Rust Belt battleground states and see how Biden's own words on China play, especially in light of China's hiding the Coronavirus Crisis for almost 3 months. How do you think that'll play with an out-of-work steel mill worker? How will that work with an out-of-work UAW worker in Ohio or Detroit?

David Plouffe is a talented political guy but he doesn't have a clue about Trump's Rust Belt battleground states. If Democrats want to politicize the Wuhan Virus, they should expect the Trump campaign to highlight Vice President Biden's friendliness with China, including his son Hunter's virtual affair with the Chinese Communist Party's leadership.

Biden's crisis leadership questioned

When Joe Biden tried separating himself from President Trump in terms of crisis management, he painted himself into a corner. During a conference call, Biden said "Trump is behind the curve and is promising results he has not delivered and announcing actions that he has not even ordered. He's all over the map. In a crisis we need leadership that's straightforward, clear and reliable."

Tim Murtaugh, the Trump campaign's 2020 communications director, replied "The only thing Joe Biden knows about handling a public health crisis is that the Obama White House had to apologize for [Biden's] remarks that set off a panic during the swine flu outbreak in 2009. And when President Trump took the critical step of restricting travel from China in response to the coronavirus, Biden called it 'xenophobic.' Most of what Biden says the government should do are things President Trump is already doing. The President is leading an unprecedented mobilization of America against the coronavirus and all Joe Biden can offer is ineffective partisan sniping from the sidelines."

I wrote here about how Biden's speech on what he'd do during this crisis. I titled the article "Joe Biden revisits Neil Kinnock." Kinnock is the politician that Biden plagiarized in 1988. In the article, I highlighted some things that Biden would do that President Trump had already done :

Joe Biden said that small businesses will need relief from coronavirus' economic impact. President Trump already moved decisively to provide $50 billion in liquidity to small business owners , and is asking Congress for even more.

Then there's this:

Joe Biden said it is critical for insurance companies to waive copays for coronavirus testing. President Trump already got it done, securing a commitment from the nation's insurance providers to waive all copays on coronavirus testing and expand coverage of coronavirus treatment in all their benefit plans.

Joe Biden is a partisan windbag with an oversized ego. The RNC couldn't resist to get into the fun:

There is logic in the top two nicknames that Joe Biden has: Slow Joe and Sleepy Joe. Recently he has acquired another: Creepy Joe, for his propensity to squeeze women and girls' shoulders while either sniffing their hair or planting a kiss on their neck or head. It would be hard to find other Washington politicians who are less sharp.
