The leftist religion of wokeness

Kathy Kersten's article is a blistering attack against the Democrats' newest religion, the religion of wokeness. According to Kersten, "The movement to eradicate 'white privilege' manifests in demands to defund police and in the toppling of statues, not only of Confederate generals, but of figures such as Theodore Roosevelt, Ulysses S. Grant, even George Washington."

Kersten continues, saying "What is unfolding before our eyes is a new secular religion. For all its claims of 'inclusivity,' this new faith is deeply intolerant. It has roots in the American past that would likely surprise its adherents: the Puritan era of our nation's earliest religious zealots. Progressives are now engaged in doing theology without God."

This especially bothers me:

One of Puritan theology's core tenets is "innate depravity", the doctrine that humans are inherently wicked as a result of original sin. The woke faith preaches an updated version: America's original sin is white supremacy.

As a Christian, I'm convinced that, apart from God's grace, I'm capable of doing unthinkable things. In the ' Noah Chapter ' of Genesis, it is written in verses 5-6 that "Then the Lord saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every intent of the thoughts of his heart was only evil continually . And the Lord was sorry that He had made man on the earth, and He was grieved in His heart."

Every man, regardless of race, is capable of disgusting evil. When the Apostle Paul wrote his letter to the church in Rome, he wrote in Chapter 3 that " all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God." In both instances, God told us that everyone a) has sinned and b) is capable of incredible evil. Because everyone of every race, creed, color or ethnicity is included, the proper belief is that no race is exempt of committing incredible evil. That's a little unsettling but it's God's truth.

Therefore, if we believe that the Bible is accurate, which I believe is the case, then the truth is that all races are capable of incredible sin. The thing about systemic racism, therefore, is that each race is totally capable of racism.

Parallels abound. One of Puritan theology's core tenets is "innate depravity", the doctrine that humans are inherently wicked as a result of original sin. The woke faith preaches an updated version: America's original sin is white supremacy.

It isn't that "America's original sin is white supremacy." It's that every nation's original sin is ignoring the Bible's teachings. Each of us is born with a God-sized hole in our soul. If we don't fill that hole with God, the hole remains, no matter how much stuff we throw into that hole.

It's time to reject this newest 'religion' on the grounds that it's more like a cult than a legitimate religion.

Thanks for the link, Gary. Do you know, is Kersten's degree in theology?

Comment 2 by Gretchen L Leisen at 28-Jul-20 01:10 PM
The rise of anarchy and rioting is a direct consequence of the degree which our country's citizens have rejected God, our Creator. The greater the alienation of people from their Creator, Redeemer and Sanctifier, the more the country descends into chaos. Jesus said, "I am the Way, the Truth and the Life". Such true words. We ought to take them seriously. Jesus is also called the "Light of the world." As our country rejects him and Christianity, more darkness comes upon us. We need to repent and return to the Gospel.

William Barr's opening statement

Bill Barr's opening statement in his testimony to the House Judiciary Committee won't be received well by Democrats. Hopefully, though, we won't be treated to another stunt like Steve Cohen's chicken stunt, a stunt so stupid that even CNN criticized him . But I digress.

Early in his opening statement, AG Barr will attack Democrats over "the bogus 'Russiagate' scandal." The full context of that collision is found in this paragraph, which says "Ever since I made it clear that I was going to do everything I could to get to the bottom of the grave abuses involved in the bogus 'Russiagate' scandal, many of the Democrats on this Committee have attempted to discredit me by conjuring up a narrative that I am simply the President's factotum who disposes of criminal cases according to his instructions. Judging from the letter inviting me to this hearing, that appears to be your agenda today. So let me turn to that first."

Later, AG Barr states "The President has not attempted to interfere in these decisions. On the contrary, he has told me from the start that he expects me to exercise my independent judgment to make whatever call I think is right. That is precisely what I have done."

This hearing will be contentious, filled with lots of fireworks. Because Jerry Nadler isn't the brightest bulb in the Democrats' chandelier, it isn't likely that Democrats will lay a glove on Barr, metaphorically speaking.

It got attention -- of course it did. Political stunts in Washington usually do. Videos and photos of Cohen devouring fried chicken ran everywhere, a sign that perhaps the hearing was designed to be more of a farce than a serious inquiry.

The House Judiciary Committee used to be a serious committee. With idiots like Nadler chairing the committee and Cohen acting like a clown, it's impossible to take these Democrats seriously. That being said, it's clear that the MSM will do its utmost to prop up these clowns. Here's the infamous chicken scene:
Republicans, starting with Ranking Member Jim Jordan, former Ranking Member Doug Collins, former Chairman Jim Sensenbrenner and former US Attorney Ken Buck, won't need propping up. That's before talking about Louie Gohmert, a former Texas state judge. These are serious people.

Also noteworthy is the fact that Val Demings and Karen Bass are auditioning to be Joe Biden's running mate. They'll likely use this opportunity to make their case for the job.

Your closing paragraph is interesting. Who will really watch the hearings, vs. MSNBC and FOX each dealing its bloc standard fodder? Is CSPAN set to carry the thing?

Demings has more to reach at, Bass has more progressive cred. It will be theatrical, but irrelevant to people dying of Covid and out of work with rent due.

Response 1.1 by Gary Gross at 31-Jul-20 10:36 PM
Democrats are getting too eager to tank the economy. If Pelosi doesn't stop acting like a bitch, Democrats will get blamed for the economy not doing well. As for November, Democrats in Minneapolis & Seattle will pretty much demolish the Democrats after voting to dismantle their police departments. Finally, Democrats stand a good chance of losing minority voters over school choice. Choice is a powder keg waiting to blow.

Comment 2 by Gretchen L Leisen at 28-Jul-20 01:01 PM
There should not be anyone [well, not hardly anyone] dying of covid-19 virus. From the very beginning, the leftist news media in conjunction with the Democrat party set out to discredit the well-known drug hydroxychoroquine plus zinc & Z-pack as a remedy for the viral infection. It seems counter-intuitive to believe such a thing. However, once the Democrats realized that the oandemic could be used politically against Donald Trump, they became determined to obstruct the effectiveness of various pharmacological remedies. In truth, honesty on the part of our leftist politicians and some of the medical community could have saved many lives in the USA.

The Democrats' "mostly peaceful protests"

Yesterday's fiasco in the House Judiciary Committee was both frightening and embarrassing. Back when Republicans ran the House, committee hearings had plenty of grandstanding but they broke plenty of news, too. Tuesday's hearing of the House Impeachment Rubberstamp Committee (that's what it's famous for these days) got off to a terrible start when Chairman Jerry Nadler got into a car accident on his way to the hearing. It isn't a stretch to say that it went downhill after that. Perhaps, the accident should be viewed as an omen.

Two things became immediately clear the minute the hearing got started. First, Democrats weren't going to let William Barr answer their questions. Next, these Democrats were going to pound home the theme that Portland's riots were "mostly peaceful protests." At one point, Barr interrupted the Democrats and said (I'm paraphrasing here) "This is a hearing. Shouldn't I be heard?"

The 'Wall of Moms' aren't female patriots. Reporting from Portland indicates that they're human shields used to protect weapons-carrying Antifa/BLM rioters. That isn't what patriots do.

The Democrats' storyline was demolished during Steve Chabot's questioning of AG Barr:
It was demolished when AG Barr asked the rhetorical question "The courts are under attack. Since when is it ok to try to burn down a federal court? If someone went down the street to the Prettyman Court, that beautiful courthouse we have right at the bottom of the hill, and started breaking windows and firing industrial grade fireworks to start a fire and threw in kerosene balloons and start fires in the court, is that ok? Is that ok now?"

When AG Barr tried answering the Democrats' questions in ways that didn't advance the Democrats' storyline, they'd cut AG Barr off, saying that their time was limited and that they were reclaiming their time. I didn't keep count of how often Democrats pulled that stunt but it was easily a dozen times. Barr would then politely stop his reply and let Democrats make asses of themselves:
Democrats looked like jerks and idiots throughout. When Democrats didn't get the answer they wanted, the frequent reply was "I'm reclaiming my time." Democrats had a storyline that they'd established and they weren't deviating from it.

What's disgusting is that Nadler, Lofgren and the other Democrat idiots didn't do is propose a solution to the anarchists torching once-beautiful cities like Seattle, Portland and Chicago. Democrats spent the day insisting that federal law enforcement officers were the bad guys and that Antifa-BLM rioters were the good guys.

If you want to live with a Democrat majority that thinks that burning down "the system" is the right thing to do, just vote Democrat. If you're a thoughtful person who cherishes peaceful streets where riots are stopped quickly, you must vote for Republicans. It's that simple.

The Nadler car accident, then the Nadler train wreck hearing

It's apparent that Democrats are attempting to provide a contrast between their law enforcement ideas and the Republicans' plans for restoring safety to America's streets. The comparison couldn't be more unmistakable. The choice facing the American people is between Democrats defending riots in Portland, Seattle and Minneapolis vs. the Trump administration's sending in federal law enforcement officers to protect neighborhoods and federal buildings.

Andy Ngo is providing incredible images from Portland. Check this out:

Next, check this out:

This is the definition of disgusting behavior:

Portland media is pretty much leftist fringe. They'd get along great with AOC, Rashida Tlaib and Ilhan Omar. But I digress.

Before the hearing, Chairman Nadler was in a car accident . That was just the start of Nadler's terrible day. He should've seen it as an omen of things to come. Not surprisingly, Axios published a partial transcript of Nadler's accusations :

  1. First, under your leadership, the Department has endangered Americans and violated their constitutional rights by flooding federal law enforcement into the streets of American cities, against the wishes of the state and local leaders of those cities, to forcefully and unconstitutionally suppress dissent.

  2. Second, at your direction, Department officials have downplayed the effects of systemic racism and abandoned the victims of police brutality; refused to hold abusive police departments accountable for their actions; and expressed open hostility to the Black Lives Matter movement.

  3. Third, in coordination with the White House, the Department has spread disinformation about voter fraud, failed to enforce voting rights laws, and attempted to change the census rules to flaunt the plain text of the Constitution - all in the apparent attempt to assist the President's reelection.

  4. Fourth, at the President's request, the Department has amplified the President's conspiracy theories and shielded him from responsibility by blatantly misrepresenting the Mueller Report and failing to hold foreign actors accountable for their attacks on our elections - undermining both national security and the Department's professional staff in the process.

  5. Fifth, again and again, you personally have interfered with ongoing criminal investigations to protect the President and his allies from the consequences of their actions.

  6. Finally, and perhaps most perniciously, the Department has placed the President's political needs over the public health by challenging stay-at-home orders in the states hit hardest by the pandemic. The Department's persistent efforts to gut the Affordable Care Act will make recovery that much harder.

Expressing open hostility towards the Black Lives Matter movement isn't a disgrace. It's sound judgment. Further, I'd argue that Democrats have turned a blind eye towards black-on-black crime. Republicans have expressed hostility towards the BLM movement because BLM's founders are admitted "trained Marxists." That isn't racist. The rest of Nadler's accusations plus a dollar are worth less than a dollar. The accusations are typical 'throw everything at the wall and hope that something sticks' Democrat special.

Michael Goodwin's column feasts on what's left of Nadler's carcass:

He came, he saw, he ate their lunch. Bill Barr, denied a meal break, feasted instead on a gaggle of Democratic amateurs.

Another congressional hearing, another Dem disaster. They planned a public hanging of the attorney general and spent weeks constructing their scaffold. He is corrupt, a liar, a toady, they and their media handmaidens assured us, and the House Judiciary Committee will reveal all.

Two obstacles quickly became apparent. The first is that the Dems were led by Rep. Jerry Nadler, whose rabidness is exceeded only by his haplessness.

When it comes to train wrecks, nobody does it better than Nadler. What he's missing in intellectual heft, he makes up for with oversized ego. It's why Pelosi demoted him during the Democrats' failed impeachment attempt. It isn't a stretch to say that Nadler is the worst chairman in the history of the House Judiciary Committee.

Indicting the Democrats

While much has been written about the Democrats' disastrous performance during yesterday's House Judiciary Committee hearing, one thing hasn't gotten enough coverage. What needs more amplification is the need to throw out the children running the House Judiciary Committee and replace them with adults. The winner of yesterday's hearing was determined before Bill Barr read his opening statement.

That doesn't mean that AG Barr didn't cut Democrats when Democrats weren't reclaiming their time. As Michael Goodwin notes in his column , Barr said "This is the first time in my memory that the leaders of one of our two great political parties, the Democratic Party, are not coming out and condemning mob violence" then asked "Can't we just say the violence against the federal courts has to stop? Could we hear something like that?"

That's beyond disgraceful. The Democrats haven't said a thing about Antifa's attacks against the federal courthouse in Portland or the federal law enforcement officers protecting the building. That's especially disgusting since 3 of those officers were blinded for life by laser lights. In this video, Pelosi called the federal law enforcement officers "stormtroopers":
Democrats are the party that's pushing the defund the police movement. Democrats are the ones that talked about the Seattle CHOP zone perhaps turning into the 'Summer of Love' Zone. About 4 minutes into this video, Mayor Durkan made that historic statement:
Democrats are too stupid or too passive or both to be in charge of anything. Anyone watching yesterday's House Judiciary Committee hearing knows that Democrats on that committee aren't that bright. Anyone watching Minneapolis, NY City, Portland or Seattle knows that the mayors of those cities with a fist of mashed potatoes. Anarchists, Antifa and agitators rule those cities' streets.

Democrats are the party that push propaganda that insists it's too dangerous to send children back to school. That's an outright lie. Nowhere in the world has a child transmitted COVID to a teacher. That's because children aren't spreaders. That's because children are the least likely to contract the virus.

Do you want dishonest stupid people in charge of anything? If you're voting for most Democrats, that's what you're getting. This isn't Bill Clinton's relatively rational Democrat Party. This is AOC's and Bernie's Socialist Party.

Finally, a Biden administration likely means Keith Ellison as Attorney General. If that doesn't frighten you, then you're hopeless.

CNN's focus groups vs. polling

The Biden campaign won't like this CNN news article . That's because it's reporting the results of some focus groups from several battleground states. Let's just say that, despite what the polls say, Joe Biden isn't in the great shape CNN, MSNBC, the Washington Post and the NYTimes want you to believe.

According to the article, Rich Thau, the man who's moderated the focus groups, wrote "Pollsters are consistently telling us Democratic nominee Joe Biden is far ahead. I'm not looking to pick a fight, as their sample sizes are much larger than mine. That said, as a focus group moderator, I'm hearing strong support for President Donald Trump from a critical sliver of the electorate."

Then Thau explains his results:

And, each month for the past 17 months, I've had a unique window into the Americans largely responsible for giving the president his slim Electoral College victory: so-called "Obama-Trump" swing voters across the upper Midwest.

Our Swing Voter Project has uncovered that many of these people, who live in places such as Canton, Ohio; Davenport, Iowa; Erie, Pennsylvania; and Macomb County, Michigan, prefer Trump over Biden. In fact, 22 of 33 respondents in these four most recent locations feel this way.

And over the first year of the project, from March 2019 through February 2020, more than two-thirds of the "Obama-Trump" voters said they would take Trump over Obama in a hypothetical match-up.

That isn't good news for the Biden campaign. This is worse news:

Additionally, many of these voters have yet to hear Biden make his case, and some may still be impacted by the economic and health consequences of the pandemic.

CNN, MSNBC and other media outlets have given Biden a pass on campaigning, often saying that his strategy is working. That's BS. These media outlets aren't pushing him on this because they're fully aware that Biden would turn into a puddle the minute he's asked hard-hitting questions by legitimate reporters. There's no way Biden can appear on Special Report or Outnumbered Overtime. Bret Baier and Harris Faulkner would be respectful but they wouldn't let him off the hook like other networks.

Voters understand that these networks are essentially the Propaganda Wing of the DNC. Voters understand that the networks aren't serious journalists. Notice that CNN and MSNBC haven't invited Biden on to discuss his unity agreement. They could announce Biden's appearance on Morning Joe, then invite people to send in their questions via Twitter and Facebook. There's a reason they haven't done that. It's because Biden's answers would become material for President Trump's advertising campaign. It's because Biden's words would expose him as a Sanders-AOC leftist.

Now that the people see President Trump's lengthy list of mainstream accomplishments, they can compare his accomplishments with Obama's trash-talking and his lengthy list of failures, especially on exporting manufacturing jobs to China, intentionally crippling the fossil fuel industry and decimating small towns throughout the Rust Belt and Great Lakes states.

People in Macomb County, MI, get it that President Trump's economic agenda was restoring communities and rebuilding the middle class. People living there get it that President Obama and the Democrats shipped their jobs to China and Mexico through NAFTA, high taxes and regulations. Then there's this problem:
Biden isn't mentally fit to be president. He's a smiling face with a history of being a nice guy and a moderate Democrat. He isn't a moderate Democrat anymore. He sold his soul to the devil, aka Bernie and AOC, to become the nominee. He's now a captive of the hate- and rage-filled left. Anyone that thinks that Biden can frequently forget where he is but still win over voters in swing states is kidding themselves. Couple that with the fact that he's promising to end fracking. There goes Pennsylvania, Ohio and Michigan.

I've said for a month that Democrats are touting polling because they know their nominee is a feeble-minded old fart who belongs in a nursing home, not in a presidential debate. Democrats hitched their wagon to Biden because he wasn't as insane as Bernie and some of the other Democrat hopefuls. Rush put it best when he told Chris Wallace months ago that Biden has the best shot of all the Democrats to defeat Trump before saying that Biden doesn't have a shot.

CDC: Schools are safe to open

Finally, the CDC has spoken definitively about reopening schools. According to Paul Peterson and Scott Atlas, it's long overdue. In their Hill op-ed, they wrote "At long last, and maybe too late, the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) released a statement on 'The Importance of Reopening Americans Schools this Fall.' After issuing warnings about potential risks to children all spring and early summer, the CDC acknowledged what has been known throughout the world for months, that 'COVID-19 poses relatively low risks to school aged children. : So far in this pandemic, deaths of children are less than in each of the last five flu seasons.'"

Next, they wrote "That couples with the CDC's observation that 'for children (0-17 years), cumulative COVID-19 hospitalization rates are lower than cumulative influenza hospitalization rates during recent influenza seasons.' Moreover, 'the rate of infection : from students to teachers has been low.'" In other words, the things that Nancy Pelosi recently said about protecting children was Democrat fear mongering. She should be ridiculed in public endlessly.

The best way to punish Pelosi is by defeating Democrat House members this November and installing a GOP majority in the House.

Despite the CDC's declaration, DC government schools will begin the year virtually . Democrats admit having failed the students:

Students who do not have Internet access or a computer at home will be provided with the necessary technology, the mayor's office said. Schools Chancellor Lewis Ferebee said D.C. had been collecting data from more than 13,000 respondents and found 44 percent of students do not have access to a device at home .

How can half of DC's students succeed without having a device capable of connecting to the internet? That's like saying DC has schools that don't have running water. But I digress.

We know from research and simple common sense that these measures will seriously degrade the children's educational experience. For one, masked teachers can hardly be effective: They will be hard to hear, difficult to understand and challenging to interpret when their facial expressions cannot be seen. For students, masks are hot, stuffy and uncomfortable, the very circumstances that compromise learning. Masking will likely adversely affect the quality of the teaching force, the people who are crucial for a child's education.

Then there's this:

Gov. Newsom says the damage from closed schools can be curtailed by online instruction. Virtual learning is better than no education at all, certainly. But several studies have found that students who attend virtual schools perform worse than students in brick-and-mortar schools. One study comparing the achievement of charter school students found that the consequences of attending a virtual school were "uniformly and profoundly negative."

It's time for politicians to stop interfering with the scientists. Scientists are trying to tell parents that opening schools is safe.

Tim Walz's dizzying leadership

Trying to figure out Tim Walz's plan for reopening schools might take weeks. Figuring out whether Gov. Walz is a slave to EdMinn takes much less time. Tim Walz and the DFL essentially are indentured servants to EdMinn. They don't dare do what's right for the students. That's how Gov. Walz and the DFL finished with the plan they're currently pitching .

David Perry had been waiting for months to learn whether his two middle-'school children will be heading back to their Shoreview school in the fall.

He was still left hanging Thursday after Gov. Tim Walz announced a localized, model-driven approach to opening schools in the midst of the coronavirus pandemic. Decisions on whether to return to class, continue distance learning, or use some hybrid of both, will depend on the number of COVID-19 cases in a given area and a school's ability to meet health and safety standards. School districts are expected to announce in the coming weeks one of three learning models they will use based on the formula laid out by the administration.

'I don't feel like I know any more today about what is going to happen in September than I did yesterday, and we've been building up to this big announcement,' said Perry, whose son has Down syndrome and autism spectrum disorder. The family needs more time to plan for his education. 'I don't feel I'm any closer to understanding what's going to happen with my kids or my work schedule,' Perry said.

Tim Walz is the anti-science governor. The DFL is his enabler. For months, child care centers have been operating safely. Despite facing the same hurdles, Tim Walz and the DFL can't figure out how to safely return students to schools. (Perhaps we should put child care operators in charge of reopening schools. I'm only partially kidding.)

DFL House Speaker Melissa Hortman said she was pleased that Walz also announced plans to pump an additional $250 million of coronavirus relief funding into classrooms as they prepare for new social distancing measures. Among them will be a requirement for those who return to the classroom to wear masks. 'Our districts need additional resources to provide the high-quality education we expect while keeping Minnesotans safe,' Hortman said.

Why isn't the DFL pushing Gov. Walz to make classrooms safe so students can return to school? Why hasn't the DFL admitted that students aren't at risk, that the only people who might be at risk are older teachers? Instead, Gov. Walz and the DFL put together a plan that Einstein would have difficulty deciphering.
At the start of this clip, Gov. Walz tells a whopper:

This is a localized, data-driven approach to make sure that school districts where it is physically possible to teach our students, we will do that.

The matrix put together by the Walz administration has tons of caveats in it. That's foolish. Students, especially grade school students, don't transmit the virus. This isn't opinion. It's the finding of Dr. Scott Atlas of the Hoover Institution:

On Good Morning San Diego, Dr. Atlas said we are one of the only countries that is not planning to reopen our schools. "The data is clear. Whether it's from Canada, Switzerland, Sweden, the Netherlands, France, Spain, the United States, Asia, all over the world, children do not have any serious disease. Children almost never transmit the disease. In fact, Switzerland is contemplating stopping even testing children because it's irrelevant."

Continuing, "there is not serious risk of even getting the illness. But that's not even the point here, I want to go even further. By now, we know who is at risk. K-12 teachers in the United States, half of them are under 41 years of age, they're not at risk. 82% are under 55-years-old, if there is a handful, which there are, teachers in the high-risk category, don't they know how to protect themselves with their so called 6-feet spacing and mask rules? And if they're still afraid, even if they don't want to do that, then they can teach from home. I don't understand why they have to lock up schools."

The statistics point in one direction. The statistics show that students, especially younger students, aren't transmitters of COVID. The point isn't to wait until the virus is gone. The policy should be to mitigate as much of the risk as possible. That points to making things like plexiglass walls in classrooms standard to eliminate what little risk there is for teachers.

In business, we would call Walz's guidance a No Value Add. All of the information Walz used is readily available to the school districts. So is better local information. All Walz did is nail one foot to the floor long enough to make sure no district could even think about fully resuming. Just what Education Minnesota wanted, continuing to work half time for full pay, and no having to deal with student discipline issues.

President Barack Obama, the Democrats' Divider-In-Chief

After Thursday's funeral for Rep. John Lewis, it's clear that President Obama can't resist playing the role of the Democrats' Divider-In-Chief. Anyone accusing President Trump of being the most divisive president in US history hasn't paid attention to the nasty things President Obama has said.

Yesterday, President Obama literally used the pulpit to say "George Wallace may be gone. But we can witness our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators." Jeffrey Lord noted in his commentary of President Obama's eulogy that "Fifty-seven years ago, the newly sworn-in Democrat governor of Alabama, George Wallace, delivered those words ["And I say : segregation today : segregation tomorrow : segregation forever."] in his inaugural address. In other words: George Wallace, who was a product of a political party that built its political power by supporting every imaginable policy that divided Americans by race, was at it again. Using the momentary pulpit that was a governor's inaugural to play the race card - again."

Here's what President Obama said:

George Wallace may be gone. But we can witness our federal government sending agents to use tear gas and batons against peaceful demonstrators. We may no longer have to guess the number of jellybeans in a jar in order to cast a ballot, but even as we sit here, there are those in power, who are doing their darndest to discourage people from voting by closing polling locations and targeting minorities and students with restrictive ID laws and attacking our voting rights with surgical precision, even undermining the postal service in the run-up to an election that's going to be dependent on mail-in ballots so people don't get sick.

Democrats should be punished for President Obama's racist eulogy:
In another part of his eulogy, Obama advocated for "ending some of the partisan gerrymandering so that all voters have the right to choose their politicians, not the other way around. And if all this takes eliminating the filibuster, another Jim Crow relic, in order to secure the God-given rights of every American, then that's what we should do." What President Obama omitted is the fact that the Jim Crow laws were written by Democrats. George Wallace was a Democrat, too. This shouldn't be ignored:

What is particularly despicable here is that the race card was played at a funeral for a man whose famous moment of heroism was protesting : racism. Not to be forgotten here is that the state troopers involved that day in Selma when John Lewis had his skull cracked were in the employ of Democrat Gov. George Wallace .

Democrat President Clinton signed the 1994 Crime Bill into law that started mass incarceration. Republican President Trump signed the First Step Act into law to fix the damage done by the Democrats' 1994 Crime Bill.

President Obama's appearance was part eulogy, part political speech. All of President Obama's post-presidential political speeches have been intentionally divisive. They're usually dishonest, filled with strawman arguments and outright lies. For instance, he said that "our federal government" sent in "agents to tear gas" peaceful protesters. That's BS and he knows it. Just reading Andy Ngo's or Julio Rosas's twitter feeds proves President Obama full of BS.

Let's hope his rousing and dishonest speech has the same effect the as the Wellstone memorial. Obama had 8 years to do something about so called racism and yet he did nothing but fan the flames with his stupidity.
