Joe Biden's China virus leadership

Joe Biden is attempting to look like a leader on the China Virus. It's failing because he's proposing to do things that President Trump did months ago . They sound reasonable at first blush. That's because they've been implemented months ago:

The former vice president swung into his spiel: "I talked early on about the Defense [Production] Act" to order companies to manufacture essential items, he said. Mr. Trump invoked the DPA March 27 to force General Motors to step up ventilator production.

Then, Mr. Biden said, "you need more testing." More than 50 million tests have been conducted in the U.S., 754,858 on Tuesday alone. Next, he said, "insist that everyone wear masks." The White House Coronavirus Task Force and Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommended on April 3 that everyone wear masks in public.

To help the economy, Mr. Biden proposed to "make sure that people are in a position where they can maintain their businesses." Mr. Trump signed the Cares Act on March 27 , providing $349 billion in partially forgivable small-business loans, later raised to $659 billion. His next idea was to guarantee "no one has to pay for contracting COVID and being treated for COVID." The Trump administration announced April 3 it would use Cares Act money to pay hospitals that treat uninsured people for Covid-19.

Remember that this Reid-Biden interview happened on July 20. Way to go, Joe. You got around to proposing your China virus plan 3+ months after President Trump implemented this plan. Moving at that speed, we're sure to defeat the virus before the end of President Trump's successor's 2nd term.

With regard to a vaccine, Mr. Biden said it was essential to "have a command officer now . . . to put together exactly how that will be distributed to over 300 million Americans." Gen. Gustave F. Perna, head of Army Materiel Command, was appointed chief operating officer of Operation Warp Speed on May 15 to accelerate vaccine production and distribution.

Again, Biden is late by 2 months. Can't this guy get anything done fast? I'll tell you what Biden did in March. We can't forget this golden oldie:
Joe Biden's economic plan will produce a recession:

The former vice president's July 9 economic plan, for example, proposes to raise $3.2 trillion in revenue over the next decade. It would do so by increasing taxes not only on the top 1% but on every American. The nonpartisan Tax Foundation says it "would lead to lower after-tax income for all income levels" and reduce the nation's gross domestic product.

That's before Biden would reimpose the industry-crippling regulations that temporarily killed the coal industry and the energy industry. By comparison, President Trump's policies have made the US the world's largest producer of energy. We don't rely on foreign energy anymore.

Another example: Mr. Biden's July 14 climate plan calls for closing every natural gas and coal-fired power plant within 15 years. They now produce 60% of America's electricity. It's probably impossible to achieve, but even trying would raise everyone's utility bills and endanger millions of jobs in the energy and power sectors.

It's time to reject this hostage of the far-far-left. We can't afford his incompetence.

Proof that Democrats hate police officers

Buck Sexton's op-ed exposes the Democrats' intentions to transform the United States into something resembling a third-world dictatorship. Sexton also highlights the media's role in running interference for the domestic terrorists.

For almost two months, Portland has been under siege from Antifa and other extremists. These troops of the left terrorize the downtown area every night. They with paramilitary precision. As organized anarchists, they deploy a wide array of less than lethal weapons to wound police, ranging from bats and bricks to lasers shot in the eyes of officers to permanently damage their sight. All of this is to further their goal to overturn our society and radically transform the country.

Antifa isn't murdering anyone. They're blinding federal law enforcement agents. The thing is that they're participating in a riot. They don't have to commit murders or violent crimes to be convicted and put in prison for decades. The deterrent with federal crimes is lengthy prison sentences in a federal penitentiary.

If the news media cared to tell the public the truth, it would have been a top story on nightly broadcasts for weeks. The Antifa rioters even tried to break into and burn down a federal courthouse in the city. The campaign of intimidation and destruction is plainly domestic terrorism. But the one reason the siege on Portland has become a major news story is because the administration is trying to restore law and order to the beleaguered city, and Democrats hysterically oppose any such action.

Thus far, Democrats have shown their hatred of police officers on a nightly basis. Check this out:

Before Jessica Tarlov or some other dishonest leftist mouthpiece says that these aren't Democrats, I'll just remind them that Portland Mayor Ted Wheeler spent the night with the rioters. Democrats in Oregon have filed lawsuits against the federal government to prevent them from doing their jobs, too. These are public officials who don't want to enforce the laws of their city and state.

Democrats who won't enforce their own laws but will file lawsuits attempting to prevent federal law enforcement officers from upholding federal law hate police. Another bit of proof that Democrats hate police is that Democrats have been totally silent about the Antifa rioters who used lasers to blind for life police officers. Officers that can't function shouldn't be ignored. Democrats have essentially ignored these officers wounded in the line of duty.

Portland is proof positive that Democrats hate police officers

Buck Sexton's op-ed exposes the Democrats' intentions to transform the United States into something resembling a third-world dictatorship. Sexton also highlights the media's role in running interference for the domestic terrorists.

Antifa isn't murdering anyone. That type of violence would strip the MSM and other Democrats of their ability to spin Portland as a peaceful protest that got out of control. Instead, Antifa and BLM use tactics that destroy police officers' lives without killing them. Without the bloodshed, it's difficult to characterize Antifa/BLM as terrorists.

While it's difficult to characterize Antifa/BLM as terrorists, it isn't impossible. It just takes patience and logic. Once people explain to the average person what tactics Antifa/BLM uses, those people understand quickly. It's clear that they're participating in a riot. Judge Mukasey explained today that some of the crimes that Antifa/BLM are committing are legitimate predication for RICO indictments.

If the news media cared to tell the public the truth, it would have been a top story on nightly broadcasts for weeks. The Antifa rioters even tried to break into and burn down a federal courthouse in the city. The campaign of intimidation and destruction is plainly domestic terrorism. Democrats in Oregon have filed lawsuits against the federal government to prevent them from doing their jobs, too. These are public officials who don't want to enforce the laws of their city and state. There's tons of proof that Democrats don't want to enforce existing laws. Bill de Blasio has threatened to file a lawsuit if President Trump tries stopping the violence. That's fine. Let that festering hellhole turn into a warzone where people can't live. It doesn't matter to me. I don't live there.

If Democrats don't want to enforce the laws, President Trump should fund advertisements telling Portlanders that states like the Carolinas, Georgia, Texas and Florida take law enforcement seriously and that their states aren't shooting galleries. If Democrats won't stand with police officers, then Portland shouldn't be surprised when people vote with their mortgages.

PS- Why hasn't Joe Biden spoken out against Portland's violence? Is it because he's counting on getting Antifa's votes while maintaining his image that he's a centrist? His silence says everything.

Democrats ruined Portland, another once-vibrant, city

While Democrat leftists caterwaul about "Gestapo activities" in Portland, these Democrat leftists ignore the fact that businesses are permanently closing their doors . Apparently, Democrats don't care about the guys who run places like Old Town Pizza & Brewing. Old Town Pizza & Brewing recently finished the day "with just $18.75 in sales."

It's just another sad story in a series of sad stories radiating out from Democrat-run cities. Adam Milne, the owner of Old Town Pizza & Brewing, recently said "I think all restaurants are really hurting and struggling, but I'm not sure if the city and state officials realize that to be a restaurant and to be in downtown Portland right now is a double blow. Not only are we suffering from the pandemic, but we have an area of the state that everyone is avoiding eating and drinking."

Thanks to Antifa's and BLM's nightly riots, only an idiot would venture into downtown Portland. Meanwhile, Democrat House Majority Whip Jim Clyburn said this on CNN:

Rep. Clyburn should be thrown out of the House for uttering that type of BS. Instead of challenging him on making such an incendiary statement, CNN just let it go. This isn't some back-bench bomb-thrower. This is the third-ranking Democrat in the House. Further, he's the guy that helped Joe Biden win the Democrats' presidential nomination. Without Clyburn's nomination right before the South Carolina Primary, Bernie would be the Democrats' nominee.

Speaking of Mr. Biden, here's what he said in an ad about uniting the country:
First, Biden hasn't criticized Portland's violence with the exception of him criticizing federal law enforcement :

Former Vice President Joe Biden said Tuesday that the Trump administration was deploying Department of Homeland Security officers in Portland without clearly defined goals, even as department officials defended their efforts to eliminate violent protests. "We have a president who is determined to sow chaos and division," said Biden, the presumptive Democratic nominee to challenge President Donald Trump on Nov. 3. "To make matters worse instead of better."

I guess that's Biden's way of uniting the nation. Criticizing law enforcement officers who are protecting a federal courthouse isn't uniting people. It's being a loud-mouthed jerk, then pretending to be a uniter.

The question is whether Americans will admit that they see what's happening. Joe Biden isn't pro-law enforcement. He's for whatever keeps Democrats together. In his minute-long ad, Biden talked about representing all Americans, whether they voted for him or not. What we've heard from, though, are the words of a divider, the words of a hate-filled man.

Joe Biden won't challenge Ted Wheeler, Portland's mayor. He won't stop the rioting, either. Frankly, Joe Biden doesn't know how to challenge Democrats. Whatever they want to do is fine with him. Portland is proof of that.

FOOTNOTE: When Barack Obama was president and Biden was his vice president, they were openly hostile to the police. Read about what they did in Ferguson. Remember that they didn't lift a finger to stop Chicago's violence, either. If you want more of the same, vote Biden. If you want safe streets, vote Trump. It's that simple.

Proof that voter fraud exists

John Solomon's latest article provides proof positive that voter fraud is real. Notice that I didn't say it vehemently alleges voter fraud. Instead, I said that it "provides proof positive" that it is real.

The first case mentioned is from Philadelphia:

Philly Fraud Case Expands

The U.S. Justice Department this past week charged former Democratic congressman Michael Myers with stuffing ballot boxes, bribing an elected official, falsifying records, obstructing justice and voting multiple times in federal elections in Philadelphia. Myers was the second official charged in the scheme.

Domenick DeMuro, a Democratic ward chairman in that city, admitted in a plea deal that he had "fraudulently stuffed the ballot box by literally standing in a voting booth and voting over and over, as fast as he could, while he thought the coast was clear," prosecutors said.

That's called a finding of fact. This isn't an allegation. Further, there's proof that federal or local prosecutors threatened to terrorize DeMuro's family if he didn't confess to a crime he didn't commit.

Then there's this:

New Jersey mail-in ballot scheme exposed

Four New Jersey residents, including one city council member and one city councilmen-elect in Patterson, N.J., were charged last month in what state officials was a mail-in ballot fraud scheme. The four were charged with multiple crimes including voting fraud, tampering with public records and unauthorized possession of multiple vote-by-mail ballots.

This won't end well for these elected officials. The trial hasn't started but there's lots of evidence against the 4 N.J. residents to convict them.

Alabama Absentee Fraud

In 2019, former Gordon, Ala., Mayor Elbert Melton was convicted of absentee ballot fraud in a mayoral race he won by just 16 votes. Melton was sentenced recently to one year in prison and two years of probation after his conviction on charges of absentee ballot fraud and second-degree theft of property.

I could extend this but I'll close with this:

Wisconsin county supervisor admits to ballot fraud

Former Milwaukee County Supervisor Peggy West, 47, pleaded guilty in 2018 to election fraud for falsifying signatures on petitions to qualify for the spring election. Prosecutors said several people whose names appear on West's nomination petition told a detective they never signed. Two even said the printed name next to their bogus signatures were not spelled correctly.

It's worth your while to read the entire article.
Theoretically, only adults vote in elections. As such, we're perfectly capable of voting in person. We understanding wearing a mask, social distancing and washing our hands frequently. This isn't rocket science. Minor adjustments, at most, are required.

I advocate political observers. We used them in 2004 & 2006 & hanged from Dem to Republican. The most important count is the last one before the results go to the registrar. Poll workers have admitted to voting for those who didn't vote,

Antifa's threats, intimidation of Chad Wolf hits home

Antifa is perfectly willing to threaten or intimidate virtually anyone, including Chad Wolf, the acting secretary of Homeland Security. This article tells the story of 'protesters' showing up at Secretary Wolf's home:

Protesters marched to Homeland Security Acting Secretary Chad Wolf's home in Alexandria, Virginia, on Sunday to demand an end to the deployment of federal officers in response to unrest in the wake of George Floyd's death. Demonstrators began to gather at an intersection near Wolf's home in Alexandria on Sunday morning at around 10:15 a.m.

That's roughly the time Secretary Wolf started his interview with Maria Bartiromo. Anyone thinking that that's a coincidence is kidding themselves.

Marching under the "Shut Down D.C." banner, they then made their way to the DHS chief's home where activists were pictured gathering outside with signs that read "Resist Trump's Troops" and "No more teargas, no more tearing families apart."

"We know there are no career consequences for these men and women. We know there are no financial consequences for these men and women. We know there are no legal consequences for these men and women. We must make social consequences for these men and women," one protester could be heard saying in video posted to Twitter by journalist Julio Rosas.

There aren't any consequences for protecting law-abiding citizens. That's what DHS officers have done thus far. PS- There shouldn't be consequences for protecting law-abiding citizens. There should only be consequences for law-breaking citizens.

In recent days, Wolf has faced growing scrutiny over his role in overseeing the deployment of federal law enforcement to Portland, where officers have clashed with demonstrators for weeks.

It isn't enough to highlight the fact that Portland doesn't have a protest problem. Portland has a rioting problem even though CNN's Brian Stelter insists that it's a "gross exaggeration. It just is."
Oh really , Mr. Stelter?

An official with the Department of Homeland Security's Federal Protective Service said several officers sustained serious eye injuries after protesters pointed lasers in their eyes. According to FOX 13, Deputy Director of Operations Richard Cline said officers were putting out fires set by protesters when they were accosted with lasers.

"When officers responded to put out these fires, glass bottles were thrown and lasers, which can cause permanent blindness, were shined in their eyes," Cline told FOX 13. "We have three officers who currently have eye injuries and they may not recover sight in those eyes from those laser attacks." The FPS has since purchased anti-laser glasses officers are now wearing, according to FOX 13.

DHS's FPS division showed up to put out fires. Those fires have been confirmed by videos from the ground. If Humpty Dumpty wants to dispute the authenticity of the video, have at it.

Further, the fires confirm that the violence is real. There's a portion of the night that's used by protesters. Unfortunately for the Democrats' storyline, those protesters support what the rioters are doing. The faux protesters are used to tie up officers while the rioters sneak in supplies for the riot during the dark of night.

Police reform as a political issue

Friday night on Almanac's Roundtable, one of the subjects discussed by DFL spinmeister Abu Amara and GOP political strategist Gregg Peppin was the subject of police reform. That was a topic because Gov. Walz signed into law a police reform bill. As usual, Amara got this wrong. Amara said that Democrats insist that the bill signed this week "was just a first step in really transforming policing and I suspect, as we go into 2021 legislative session, this will continue to be a top issue." That's spoken like a true urbanite.

Peppin got things right in saying "in the backdrop of this agreement, Eric, is what you're seeing in Minneapolis and what's really turning out to be an extreme measure by the Minneapolis City Council from Minneapolis politicians, they're moving forward. They want to defund, they want to defang the police and I'm hearing from people in suburban communities that are saying 'enough. Enough is enough. We're not going to go to downtown Minneapolis. We're not going to send our children to the U of M this semester.' There's real concern about that."

Let's be clear about this as a political issue. While it's a big deal in Minneapolis, it isn't as big an issue in the suburbs or in rural Minnesota because this is mostly a Minneapolis problem. Here in St. Cloud, people wanted to see something done because of the George Floyd thing. Now that the signing ceremony is behind us, most people will be fine with that. In St. Cloud, we haven't had the problems that Minneapolis has had.
Things are reaching crisis stage in Minneapolis , though:

An email that was obtained by The New York Times said that the department would not "be going back to business as usual." Commander Scott Gerlicher, head of the Special Operations and Intelligence Division, wrote in the email to supervisors this month that, "Due to significant staffing losses of late," the department was "looking at all options" for responding to calls, including shift, schedule and organizational changes. He also included in the email that they were "looking for reasonable and safe alternatives to police services in some areas."

TRANSLATION: People are leaving so fast that we can't replace them. That isn't all, though:

"Cops have not been to the work level of before, but it's not a slowdown," said Walker. "They're just not being as proactive because they know they're not supported in case something bad happens."

Tensions between the city and its Police Department come as crime is on the rise, according to the Boston website. There have been 16 homicides since June 1, more than twice as many as during the same period last year. Violent crime is up by 20% compared with the same stretch a year ago.

Things are getting worse in Minneapolis because the police know that Mayor Frey and the City Council are looking for opportunities to criticize the police. Why stick your neck out when the powers-that-be want to put it in a guillotine?

Portland's peaceful protests

CNN's Brian Stelter, aka Humpty Dumpty, insists that the Portland are a figment of Fox's imagination. This article is proof that Humpty is a blithering idiot. The article states "The Oregonian reported that authorities responded to reports of gunfire in downtown Portland and an apparent victim was treated at a hospital after being taken there in a private vehicle. The report pointed out that it was not immediately clear if the shooting was related to the protest, which marked its 60th consecutive night in the city."

Then it continues, saying "Police said they found a bag containing loaded rifle magazines and Molotov cocktails at a nearby park. A photo of the items was shared in a tweet from police late Sunday saying someone pointed out the bag to officers at Lownsdale Square Park late Sunday. No further information was immediately released. It wasn't clear if either incident was connected to the demonstrations."

If Portland's peaceful protesters use these tools , then they aren't peaceful protesters:

On July 26, 2020 while Portland Police were investigating a shots fired call near Lownsdale Square Park a passerby pointed out a suspicious bag to them. Police examined the bag and found that it contained loaded rifle magazines and Molotov cocktails. Police recovered the bag. The origin of this ammunition and these destructive devices is under investigation.

I won't hold my breath waiting for Humpty Dumpty to issue his apology. Let's remember that CNN is one of the organizations that's already settled with Nicholas Sandman for defaming him.

Portland's rioters took to the streets for the sixtieth straight night last night. In other news, rioters presented Ted Wheeler, Portland's spineless mayor, with this list of demands :

The progressive mayor on Wednesday night entered the chaotic epicenter of Portland to engage in listening sessions with the rioters. Instead, the crowds castigated him and presented him with a list of demands that included defunding the police and for Wheeler himself to resign.

That's mindful of this scene from Minneapolis:
What is it about these wimpy progressive mayors? Were they built to be wimps?

Teachers union's dishonesty

It's apparent that St. Paul and Minneapolis teachers don't want to return to traditional classrooms this fall. If that's what they prefer, they should be fired. This article reports that "Twin Cities educators on Friday called on Gov. Tim Walz to delay a return to in-person instruction in the fall, saying the risks of reopening schools during the coronavirus pandemic are too great."

That's BS according to Dr. Scott Atlas, a senior fellow at Stanford's Hoover Institution. Dr. Atlas had "an I-told-you-so-moment" recently during this interview:
During that "I-told-you-so-moment", Dr. Atlas said "the children have an extremely low risk to this disease, far less than seasonal flu. Number 2, there are massive harms closing schools to the children and those are extremely important, of course, because every policy we do, we must understand the consequences of the policy itself are."

Later, Dr. Atlas said this:

They have acknowledged that long-distance learning is a failure, that children learn much more in person, from social gatherings, dealing with conflict resolutions, working with groups, that schools provide nutrition...

These teachers just showed their true colors. The risk isn't "too great." The younger the student, the less the risk is that they're a super spreader and the less risk that they'll get the virus. That's a verified fact. These teachers are lying. Period. Full stop.

If Gov. Walz caves to Education Minnesota, which is definitely possible, he should be thrown out of office after one term. Putting EdMinn's wishes ahead of these students' needs is unforgiveable. It's quite possible because EdMinn is a subsidiary of the DFL.

This is dishonesty at its most disgusting:

The St. Paul and Minneapolis teachers unions organized a march from J.J. Hill Montessori Magnet School to the governor's residence. Walking alongside parents and students, some carried signs that read "I can't teach from a grave" and "Exactly how many dead kids is acceptable?"

Thus far, 1 child has died in Minnesota of COVID. As for the "I can't teach from a grave" sign, I'll just say that the students might be better off if they didn't have these teachers. Minnesota, in my estimation, would be far better off without Gov. Walz and the DFL majority in the House.

It might be that too few parents are capable of solid home schooling. Some can learn the practice. Covid-safe home schooling.

Comment 2 by Gretchen L Leisen at 28-Jul-20 03:58 PM
Teachers unions ought to beware of what they are doing. If this goes on long enough, the need for in schoolroom teachers may be greatly diminished. Education will be redrawn with new standards for today's needs. The best teachers are the ones who care for the well-being of students and are uplifted by seeing them succeed in their studies and in their future accomplishments.
