Sen. Harris's shoddy fundraising
This CBS article tries making a big deal of Sen. Harris's fundraising total for the first 24 hrs. after the debate. Frankly, it's pathetic.
According to the article, "Sen. Kamala Harris raised $2 million in the 24 hours after the first Democratic debate on Thursday, according to her campaign. She received donations from 63,277 people, 58% of whom were new contributors. The campaign said it was its best online fundraising day yet. 'We have momentum,' said Lily Adams, the campaign's communications director. Adams said 'supporters across this country are fueling our campaign because they saw her empathy, her passion, and her direct focus on the issues that keep people up at night.'"
They're highlighting a fundraising 'haul' of $2,000,000? In the 24 hours after his re-election kickoff, President Trump raised $14,800,000 for his campaign and another $10,000,000 for the RNC. By comparison, Joe Biden, Bernie Sanders and Robert Francis O'Rourke raised a combined $18,300,000 in the first 24 hours of their campaign kickoff, with Biden raising $6,300,000, Bernie raising $6,100,000 and Beto raising $5,900,000.
For those of you who were taught math (or history) in California, Sen. Harris's claim of momentum seems far-fetched. There's no disputing the fact that she got the better of an old fart, aka Joe Biden, who shouldn't be debating. Frankly, he's slower than a turtle.
If Sen. Harris makes it to a debate stage against President Trump, she'll get sliced and diced and cut into thousands of julienne fries. If Sen. Harris thinks that debating old farts will prepare her for debating President Trump, she's kidding herself.

Antifa: the haters amongst us
Antifa, this year's progressive activists (there's a new name each year, it seems), aren't worried about playing fair. Altogether too often, Antifa has threatened people's lives and injured people, all in the name of stopping fascists. What they didn't notice is that Antifa are fascists. This weekend, these fascists attacked a conservative journalist named Andy Ngo.
There's no time like right now to expose Antifa as the haters that they are. Here's what happened this weekend in Portland, OR:
When is it fine for an all-white gang to assault an Asian American in broad daylight? When he's a conservative journalist. Where is it fine to do this? Portland, Ore. How do you do it? By all means necessary.
The footage of Andy Ngo being ganged up on by black-clad, masked protesters in Portland shows the truth behind the cool slogans of radical chic. Ngo, a physically slight man, is punched in the face, has what appears to be a rock thrown at him when his back is turned, and is doused in milkshakes that, Portland police believe, contained cement mix, which can cause skin burns. It looks like a racist assault, but it's alright, because they're attacking a 'fascist'.
There's one other thing that's missing from the article:
'What's the matter with Portland?' Andy Ngo asked in Spectator USA last November, after being insulted and intimidated while he tried to cover an earlier Antifa demo. 'Why did I, a Vietnamese-American gay journalist, receive this reaction from a self-described anti-racist social justice movement?'
That doesn't matter to Antifa Democrats. Andy Ngo's sin was that he tried to accurately report the truth. For Antifa and organizations like Media Matters, that's enough to put Ngo on their hit list. This is Antifa in action:

Antifa 'activists' are the haters amongst us. They're also cowards who aren't brave enough to show their faces while they blind-side their targets.

It is not far-fetched to compare today's ANTIFA movement with the Ku Klux Klan of yester year. In earlier days white racists dressed in white robes and masks to attack black in their homes, their churches and in their schools. Today's bullies are black-robed haters who will attack any person who is not a leftist hater like themselves or who is not a communist. The consistent trick they play is to accuse their opponents of the very actions that they themselves are guilty of. So that in reality it is the Antifa [ANTI-FAscists?] who are the fascists.
Democrats, it's time to out Antifa
After reading this post by John Hinderaker , I can't sit idly by. The pictures embedded in Michelle Malkin's tweets should make any decent-minded people furious. After the tweeted picture, John said "Once again, I call on all Democrats to stop defending and promoting Antifa, and rather to disavow the fascists in their midst."
I don't disagree with John, though I'm a bit more upset with these criminals. There's no doubt that Democrats know who these criminals are. After all, Antifa are nothing more than violent activist Democrat thugs.
First, it's time to dispatch accountability troops to Portland. If that's law enforcement from the state level or FBI agents, I don't care. It's time to throw these thugs into prison. Next, it's time for the Portland City Council to ban face masks on city streets. Either your face is exposed or you're arrested. Period. Third, it's time to defeat Mayor Ted Wheeler. He's a wimp who won't stand up to his city's criminals:
But in the last couple of years, some have increasingly used their opportunity to exercise their 1st amendment rights, as an opportunity to incite violence.
- Mayor Ted Wheeler (@tedwheeler) July 1, 2019
Over the weekend some chose to engage in violence in Portland, which is unacceptable and will not be tolerated.
- Mayor Ted Wheeler (@tedwheeler) July 1, 2019
Wheeler won't even name Antifa. That's stunning because it's totally cowardly. It sounds like Ilhan Omar saying "some people did something" in describing 9/11.
If Democrats won't rat out their Antifa activists, US voters should throw Democrats out of office in 2020. Democrats aren't committed to civil rights. They're committed to political power at all costs. They aren't patriots. Democrats are the opposite of patriots.

AOC vs. Hispanic pastors
Yesterday, Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez made some disgusting statements about the detention facilities in Clint, TX. From the start, I suspected that she'd lied. This article highlights AOC's initial accusations:
'After I forced myself into a cell w/ women & began speaking to them, one of them described their treatment at the hands of officers as 'psychological warfare' - waking them at odd hours for no reason, calling them wh*res, etc. Tell me what about that is due to a 'lack of funding?'' she wrote on Twitter.
Here's AOC's tweets:
After I forced myself into a cell w/ women&began speaking to them, one of them described their treatment at the hands of officers as 'psychological warfare' - waking them at odd hours for no reason, calling them wh*res, etc.
Tell me what about that is due to a 'lack of funding?'
- Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 1, 2019
Now I'm on my way to Clint, where the Trump admin was denying children toothpaste and soap.
This has been horrifying so far. It is hard to understate the enormity of the problem. We're talking systemic cruelty w/ a dehumanizing culture that treats them like animals.
- Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez (@AOC) July 1, 2019
What a liar. It's stunning to hear AOC's BS. In a brief interview, AOC first said that women were put in facilities without running water. Later in the interview, she said that border patrol ordered women to drink from toilets. Here's a question that hasn't been asked: if a facility doesn't have running water, how can women be ordered to drink from toilets?
AOC's problem is that she's so intent on spinning the most horrific lies that she doesn't realize that her statements conflict with each other. With AOC, it's all about shocking people. It isn't about telling the truth. I can't give her the benefit of any doubt because she's that dishonest. Right at the start of this interview, AOC tells her controversial whopper:
AOC passionately stated "They [Customs & Border Protection] put them in a room with no running water and these women were being told by CBP officers to drink out of the toilet. They were drinking water out of the toilet." As I said earlier, it's impossible to reconcile the notion of women in a facility that doesn't have running water drinking water out of a toilet. I'd argue that AOC conflated multiple issues into one horrific-sounding event.
I mentioned in the title of this post that some Hispanic pastors visited the facilities . Their recollection was significantly different:
'I read the reports, saw the news clips. I just wanted to see what was actually happening in order to better enable our efforts to find a fair and a just solution to our broken immigration system," Rodriguez, who has advised President Trump and both Presidents Barack Obama and George W. Bush on immigration reform, noted. 'To my surprise, I saw something drastically different from the stories I've been hearing in our national discourse. Even as a veteran of immigration advocacy in the U.S., I was shocked at the misinformation of the crisis at the border . "
'We found no soiled diapers, no deplorable conditions and no lack of basic necessities,' Rodriguez remarked, adding he specifically asked border agents if they staged the facility in response to the negative press. 'They unequivocally denied it - we were witnessing the identical conditions the attorneys saw when they toured the facility days earlier."
Notice that Pastor Rodriguez called himself a "veteran of immigration advocacy" across 3 administrations. This isn't a Trump shill. Perhaps the best way to finish this article is with this video of Glenn Beck being semi-sarcastic and semi-serious:

Maybe AOC saw detainees drinking out of this type of prisoner toilet, Gary. If so, then it's quite humane as well as sanitary.

That's what she was talking about. AOC just wanted it to sound as terrible as possible. She's a Democrat first, an American way after that. That's so sad.
Trump, RNC rake in the cash
Saying that President Trump is raking in the cash for his re-election big is a gigantic understatement. According to The Hill's article , President Trump raised $54,000,000 during the second quarter of 2019. Meanwhile, the RNC raised $51,000,000 in the same time period. Also according to the article, "President Trump's reelection campaign and the Republican National Committee (RNC) announced Tuesday they had raised $105 million in the second quarter, a huge haul that is greater than what President Obama raised over a similar period in 2011 ."
The Democrats face a daunting task this election cycle. First, they have to pick a candidate to challenge President Trump. Picking someone with the gravitas needed to defeat President Trump is a daunting task. Almost as difficult is raising enough money to build out their campaign operations. Good luck with that.
"Our massive fundraising success is a testament to the overwhelming support for President Trump," Trump campaign manager Brad Parscale said in the release. "No Democrat candidate can match this level of enthusiasm or President Trump's outstanding record of results."
RNC Chairwoman Ronna Romney McDaniel added that this "record-breaking fundraising has allowed us to identify troves of new supporters online and continue investing in our unprecedented field program."
President Trump's message is resonating with voters. Further, enthusiasm for him is through the roof. It'll be difficult for the Democrats to match President Trump's enthusiasm and cash-on-hand.
The money is fantastic but I'm betting that Mr. Parscale is most delighted at the number of contributors. Each one of those contributions is a vote. At the end of the day, that's the biggest benefit. The other thing that I'm betting is that the RNC and the Trump campaign are the armies of volunteers for the GOTV campaign.
This ties into another thing, namely the polling. Democrats keep saying that their candidates would defeat Trump before adding 6 words that change everything. Their full sentence is [fill in candidate name] would defeat President Trump "if the election was held today." That's like saying the New England Patriots wouldn't have 6 Super Bowl championships if Tom Brady hadn't pulled of all of those 4th quarter comebacks.
The bottom line is this: Republicans need to work hard from now through Election Day, 2020. If they do that, and they'd better, Democrats will have a miserable Election Night.

The DFL's delayed outrage
Like their national brethren, the DFL is late in expressing outrage at what's happening at our southwest border. As is often the case, the DFL isn't offering solutions to the crisis. They're just offering outrage. Shame on them for being the Do-Nothing Democrat Obstructionists. The DFL's pattern is to blame Republicans after Nancy Pelosi refuses to negotiate in good faith will the crisis build to unprecedented proportions.
There are members of the DFL's congressional delegation who are part of the Problem Solvers Caucus. Thus far, Rep. Phillips hasn't presented a single proposal to fix what's happening at the border. If the DFL is only about expressing outrage, then they're utterly worthless. If they're only about expressing outrage because they don't want to do what's right because President Trump is in office, then that's worse by a country mile.
That's the definition of being un-American. Republicans aren't perfect but quite a few of them have stepped forward with legislation that would fix the immigration crisis, starting with Lindsey Graham, Ted Cruz, Marco Rubio and Dan Crenshaw.
Thus far, no Democrats have stepped forward with a solution. Ken Martin, the chair of the DFL, has offered outrage, however:
Funny @aleryrl, I don't recall you or @jkcarnah commenting on Oscar & Valeria Ramirez's tragic deaths or about the humanitarian crisis at the border or the awful conditions at the detention facilities. I've searched for your outrage and I can't find it. https://t.co/6Sm0StxATU
- Ken Martin (@kenmartin73) July 3, 2019
Outrage won't fix the crisis, Little Kenny. The next time you want to express outrage, couple it with a solution. You'd be amazed how good it feels to fix a crisis. (I thought I'd tell you since you obviously never fixed a crisis before.)
Meanwhile, AOC keeps getting pounded for her lies. Chairman Martin and the DFL have a solutions crisis. They really don't have a solutions-oriented mindset. Consequently, I haven't seen them provide solutions to the biggest issues of the day. Whatever you think of President Trump's personality or tweets, it's impossible to say he hasn't fixed lots of things in his first half-term.
The economy is cruising. The world is getting safer. We're becoming a net exporter of energy. We now control our destiny in terms of manufacturing our own things. If Democrats actually start working with Republicans on President Trump's immigration agenda, I don't doubt that they'll fix that. If, however, Democrats continue being the obstructionist jerks that they currently are, we'll have a border crisis until we fire Democrat politicians.
Ken Martin can spin that but he can't deny it..

Democrats folding on immigration?
In late March, Jeh Johnson, President Obama's last secretary of Homeland Security, said what Republicans had been saying for months -- that we had a crisis at the US-Mexico border . At the time, Johnson said "By any measure, 4,000 arrests in a day, 100,000 in a month ? that's the population of the city of Albany, N.Y. ? that suddenly shows up on our southern border in one month is a crisis."
After that, Democrats shifted strategies, saying that there was a "humanitarian crisis" without admitting that there was a full-blown immigration crisis. Prior to that, Democrats insisted that there was a "manufactured crisis." I suspect that the Democrats' last card in the Democrats' house of cards is about to blow up in their faces. That's because Fareed Zakaria has just been quoted in this article about how our asylum system is being gamed.
Zakaria makes it clear that he isn't happy that he has to admit this. Instead, he grudgingly agrees with President Trump that the system is getting gamed and that it needs fixing. I don't know why it's taken so long. I'm just thankful that he's admitted this:
Fareed Zakaria, the CNN anchor, on Sunday said it 'pains' him to admit it, but President Trump was correct that the U.S. finds itself in a crisis with asylum system and the number of new arrivals.
The host of 'Fareed Zakaria GPS,' was also critical of asylum rules that he called 'vague, laxed and being gamed.' Zakaria said asylum was initially intended for a small number of people in the most extreme circumstances, not as a process of immigration in itself. He said the rules need to be 'substantially tightened."
I hope that Zakaria's statement forces the Democrats' house of cards to topple. I'm not holding my breath on it but this presents that opportunity. Let's be clear, though, about this. Pelosi's Democrats haven't lifted a finger to fix these asylum laws. That's because Pelosi won't let her Democrats do anything because she hates President Trump.
What's worst is that she's forced Democrats to be Democrats first, Americans last. What type of tyrant would put together a bill that would've helped illegal aliens stay in the US? What type of tyrant still stands in the way of Republicans fixing our asylum laws?
Pelosi still stands in the way of fixing this crisis. Does she seriously think Democrats will keep their chairmanship gavels if they don't put American people first? If she thinks that, she's dumber than a sack of hair.
Newt summed things up beautifully in the last 3:00 minutes of this interview:
Between Pelosi and AOC, it's difficult to tell who's the most hateful, ruthless of the Democrats. If I was the deciding vote in that contest, they'd both finish 4th in a 2-way race. They're that sick. Voting against helping children with beds? What type of sick-o would do something like that? Here's who fits that description perfectly:

Dems didn't fix border crisis
Apparently, Democrats have adopted a take-it-or-leave-it approach to the border/asylum crisis. They're forcing the Trump administration to either release illegal aliens or to create photos that 'prove' how heartless President Trump is. Fortunately, President Trump isn't backing down. He isn't settling for the Democrats' open borders policies.
Until Congress fixes the asylum laws, the floodgates will remain open. Once the cartels identified the loopholes and the insane asylum laws, border apprehensions skyrocketed. Democrats point the finger at President Trump, insisting that it's his policies have caused this crisis. Only a liar would try spinning things that way.
The truth is that Lindsey Graham has written legislation that will fix these problems. The question that remains is whether Democrats will support his legislation or whether they'll stand in the way of progress. In the House, there's little doubt but that Democrats will stand in the way of this crisis-fixing legislation. House Democrats have shown that they're hardline obstructionists. They'll be the minority party in January, 2021.
This article was written with the intent of painting the Trump administration into a corner. Unfortunately for these nitwits, it merely verifies as fact that we need to fix these laws. If we don't do that, then we'll have eternal overcrowding.
In light of tomorrow being Independence Day, it's fitting for us to remember some important constitutional principles. The first constitutional principle that's applicable is the principle of separation of powers. The executive branch can no more write new laws than the judicial branch can pass budgets or the legislative branch can give operational orders to the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
Changing the conditions in these detention facilities requires changing the laws. That can't happen without congressional action. The Senate has taken action in the form of writing legislation. Their next step is marking the bill up in the Judiciary Committee. That will happen before the August recess. House Democrats have thrown cold pail of water after cold pail of water on legislation that would fix our asylum laws.
Therefore, the blame falls almost entirely on House Democrats. They haven't offered any solutions. Instead, they've ridiculed the Republicans' ideas. They've ridiculed people of faith, too. Thankfully, people like this pastor aren't running away from the situation:
Until Democrats propose legitimate solutions, they should get ridiculed, then voted out of office. Until Democrats stop being lazy or obstructionists, they shouldn't be given any official power.

Independence Day's significance
Today marks the 243rd anniversary of the United States. Far from being a moment of certitude, it was a time of historic uncertainty. The 56 men who added their signatures to the Declaration of Independence understood that each of them would be hung if the Colonists had lost the Revolutionary War. Signing their names to that document meant that they were committing an act of treason.
Despite that incredible risk, those 56 patriots signed their names to that revolutionary document . Thanks to their declaration and Washington's indispensable military leadership, combined with the intellectual brilliance of the writers of the Constitution, the United States of America has been the greatest liberator in the history of mankind.
Despite the incorrect claim that the US is a conquering power, the truth still remains that the only land that the US has ever asked for from the countries that they've voluntarily liberated is enough ground to bury the men who helped liberate those countries.
Just a few weeks ago, this nation celebrated another anniversary -- the 75th Anniversary of D-Day. While visiting Normandy, here's the sight that President Trump had:
Conservatives are belittled for their 'fake patriotism'. It isn't that we look past the imperfections of the Founding Fathers or the men that signed that Declaration. It's that we look at the total picture rather than the cherry-picked picture. We see the nations that we've liberated as well as the mistakes that we've made. It's that we see the steadfastness of American support for lifelong allies like Great Britain, France and Israel. It's that we cherish our building new alliances with nations like Japan and South Korea.
How can people like Joy Reid look at the United States and only see an oppressive nation? How can opinion writers say that the United States never was a great nation, that, at best, it was an ok nation?
Tell that to the Philippines after the New Year's Day tsunami when the US military sent ships to the region to turn salt water into drinking water. Tell that to the Pakistani people that the US unburied after an earthquake.
The so-called experts at the time thought that the US might, if it was fortunate, last 75 years. We're now closing in on 250 years, far better than the experts had estimated.
Today, instead of celebrating the 4th of July, which happens to be my 63rd birthday, let's unite around the principles this great nation was built up and that make this the greatest nation in human history. Let's celebrate Independence Day instead of just celebrating the 4th of July.
God bless America!
