Trouble In Paradise?
Based on
this report from the American Spectator, that's exactly what it sounds like from behind the scenes at the DNC. It couldn't happen to a nicer bunch.
Here's a few things that the Agenda Media hasn't taken into consideration in the races mentioned above:

Recent internal polling data for Senate races from Washington state, Minnesota, Michigan, Missouri, and Maryland, with the exception of Missouri, which is a GOP defense, shows Democrat support cratering if not crumbling around the edges. Missouri's seat, held by Sen. Jim Talent, "was one we'd targeted as winnable, along with Pennsylvania, and all of those other seats weren't ones we were overly concerned about, even Maryland, where we think we have two strong candidates on our side," says a DNC staffer. "But now we're seeing bad signs inside our polling data and folks here aren't happy."I don't know when their support started "cratering" but I'm betting it's right about the time that Jack Murtha decided to play judge, jury and executioner and when Zarqawi "assumed ambient temperature" near Baquba. Those things, coupled with President Bush's trip to meet with the newly minted Iraqi cabinet and the Democrats' pushing for leaving Iraq at all costs, have put a major lift in conservatives' steps. If conservatives stay this energized, there's no way Republicans won't gain seats in the House and Senate again this November.
Here's a few things that the Agenda Media hasn't taken into consideration in the races mentioned above:
- RNC Chairman Mehlman's minority outreach in Maryland is paying big dividends for Michael Steele in his open Senate seat race.
- Maria Cantwell has been an ineffective senator from Washington who deserves to be a one term wonder. Ditto that with Debbie Stabenow in Michigan.
- Mark Kennedy is running an effective campaign in Minnesota and Amy Klobuchar's slowly being exposed as a lightweight with a bad track record on fighting crime in 'Murderapolis'.
