MoveOn.org Delusional Dark Side Showing
How else would you describe
this press release following the Senate voting down a pair of Democratic resolutions that would call for America abandoning an important ally?
Mr. Mattzie would be wise to understand that people won't vote for a party that won't even fight the GWOT.
If you think that's bad, wait until you read Howard Dean's statement:
What's even more laughable is his statement that we need a "new direction" for Iraq just at a time when Gen. Casey and SecDef Rumsfeld announced that more troops reductions are forthcoming, which immediately followed Zarqawi's death and hundreds of raids immediately following Zarqawi's death have given us a treasure trove of intel. I'd call Dean a carnival huckster except I don't want to tarnish the hucksters' relatively good name.

"The majority of Americans want to see an end to the US occupation of Iraq. Today's vote in the US Senate is progress. The vote on the Kerry resolutions was defeated in a pair of squeakers (93-6 and 86-13), while the Levin resolution only got defeated by a 60-39 count. If that's Mr. Mattzie's idea of winning a "referendum on Iraq", then he must be a Democrat because only a Democrat could look at those votes and view them as moral victories.
It is now clear to the public that Democrats are working towards an end to the U.S. occupation of Iraq
while Republicans want to stick with George W. Bush's failed Iraq policy. The 2006 election already looked like a referendum on Iraq. Now voters will have a choice between the Bush-Republican war without end and the Democratic course that will bring troops home."
Mr. Mattzie would be wise to understand that people won't vote for a party that won't even fight the GWOT.
If you think that's bad, wait until you read Howard Dean's statement:
"President Bush's permanent commitment to a failed strategy in Iraq not only isn't working, its irresponsible. Republicans in Washington have failed to hold President Bush accountable, with deadly consequences. Democrats remain united and will not allow President Bush to leave the problems in Iraq to the next Administration. We believe that it's time for a new direction in Iraq and a plan for success that is both tough and smart. We will hold President Bush accountable and ensure that 2006 is a year of significant transition so that our troops can come home and eventually be redeployed to other parts of the world to fight and win the war on terror. Democrats remain committed to tracking down and killing terrorists who want to hurt Americans and we will continue to stand with our troops as they bravely serve our country, we won't just stand for photo-ops in Baghdad."Dean is amusing at minimum. Who does he think we're fighting in Iraq? Didn't anyone tell him that Zarqawi headed an organization called al Qaida In Iraq? Or is it that it didn't sink in that that's a terrorist organization? It's possible that he's just that stupid, though I don't think even he's that stupid.
