Democrats Officially Become the Cut-And-Run Party

That became official when the House voted 256-153 on a nonbinding House resolution. Here's what the resolution covered:

Among its points, the draft resolution:
  • "Honors the sacrifices of the United States Armed Forces and of partners in the Coalition and of the Iraqis who fight alongside them, especially those who have fallen or been wounded in the struggle..."
  • "Recognizes the struggle to create a sovereign, free and united Iraq will require continued resolve by the United States as it moves toward achievement of that goal."
  • "Condemns the continuing terrorist attacks on the Iraqi people."
  • "Calls upon the nations of the world to promote global peace and security by standing with the United States and other Coalition partners and with the Iraqi people."
What's disturbing is that 149 Democrats voted to establish a deadline to remove our troops. That's simply unacceptable. Here's the roll call on today's vote:

Alot of those voting no are noted moonbats but there's a bunch of people who are generally considered serious about national security. Those names highlighted with bold print are people who are normally serious people.
"Stay the course, I don't think so Mr. President. It's time to face the facts," House Democratic leader Nancy Pelosi of California answered, as she called for a new direction in the conflict. "The war in Iraq has been a mistake. I say, a grotesque mistake."
Cut and run? I don't think so Ms. Pelosi. It's time to face the facts. Only an idiot thinks that abandoning our allies is a wise decision.
