Breck Girl Wants Immediate Withdrawal From Iraq
John Edwards, nicknamed the "Breck Girl" by Rush Limbaugh, is back making headlines, this time
calling for the U.S. to start withdrawing its troops from Iraq immediately.
Last night I wrote about Democrats being all excited about their unity on the Iraq War. Here's what I cited then:
Anyone not willing to challenge that bunch certainly doesn't have the fortitude to confront real enemies.

Former vice presidential candidate John Edwards, who is considering another run for the Democratic presidential nomination, said Saturday the United States should start pulling troops out of Iraq immediately. The former senator from North Carolina told reporters America should "make it clear (to Iraqis) we are leaving, and the best way is to start leaving. We should take 40,000 combat troops out now."It's impossible for me to take this idiot seriously. My first question for him would be "Why should we "make it clear" to Iraqis "that we're leaving"? Is it so we can prove that we won't stand by our allies in the GWOT? Or is it because he's only willing to fight wars if opinion polls say that it's the right thing to do? Or is it another, even more boneheaded reason that those questions?
Last night I wrote about Democrats being all excited about their unity on the Iraq War. Here's what I cited then:
" Only 19 percent of Americans favor an immediate pullout " and " only 30 percent of Democrats favor that option ," Gallup reported at the end of last month. That poll also found that 38 percent of Americans support staying in Iraq "as many years to do this as are needed" and an additional 7 percent want to send in more troops. Why would Democrats unite to start leaving Iraq when only 20 percent of the American people agree with them? I suspect it's because they're pandering to their lunatic masters in the 'Tinfoil Hat Blogosphere'.
Anyone not willing to challenge that bunch certainly doesn't have the fortitude to confront real enemies.
