Bad News For Dems

I'd meant to post on this earlier but I'm only getting around to it now.
A federal appeals court panel on Thursday refused to let Texas Republicans replace Tom DeLay's name on the November congressional ballot. A three-judge panel of the 5th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals upheld a ruling by U.S. District Judge Sam Sparks, who said in July that DeLay name had to stay on the ballot even though he quit from Congress and moved to Virginia.
Democrats publicly crowed about how this was good news when they won the case in a Texas court. They're sounding confident now, too. They thought they'd win without DeLay campaigning. They thought he'd give up. They were wrong. DeLay won't give this seat away because he hates the thought of Democrats winning. That's why you shouldn't believe their boasts. Tom DeLay's supporters are as steadfast and loyal as any group I've ever heard of. With DeLay back in the race, you can bet that his supporters are super-energized again.

What this means is that Nick Lampson's dream situation turned into his nightmare reality overnight. There isn't a snowball's prayer in Hades chance that he'll beat DeLay and he knows it. come November 7, DeLay will prove Lampson's fears were justified.

How many ways can you be wrong? DeLay has quit the race. Looks like Lampson by default, over the crook from Texas, because the only GOP candidate on that ballot will have to be a write-in.

Are you going to eat any crow for being so deluded?

I'll eat crow for being wrong but you're foolish if you think I'm delusional.

Will you return & eat crow when DeLay's acquitted? If not, we'll know who's delusional.
