Hillary Clinton: Bush Caused Katrina

That's Hillary's claim in a recent fundraising letter. Though it isn't in the Newsmax article, I wouldn't doubt that she thinks that the President is the Anti-Christ, too.
In a fundraising email sent out to donors on Thursday, Mrs. Clinton alleges:

"In the last five years, the Bush administration has left no major environmental law untouched in their push to deregulate, undermining or rolling back decades of regulations put in place to protect our heath. "The results are all around us," she says, citing "more greenhouse gases, global warming, rising seas, more violent storms like Katrina."

She also blames Bush for "the endless demand for higher-priced oil [that] is depleting world supplies [and] weakening our economic security." Mrs. Clinton proposes the creation of a brand new energy bureaucracy, telling her supporters: "We have the National Institutes of Health; why don't we have a National Institute of Energy?"
What type of bonehead is this woman? We've got the Department of Energy, which was created during the Carter Administration. Is she now saying that that oversized bureaucracy is a failure? If she is, then why isn't she campaigning to abolish it?

As for us depleting the world's oil supplies, that's pure hogwash. We aren't even close to doing that. Instead, liberal whiners like Hillary, et al, have opposed drilling for oil in ANWR seemingly forever, which would've given us a huge boost in natural gas and crude oil. In case the junior senator hasn't noticed, both commodities are in short supply these days.

I wonder if Hillary will take part of the blame for that. After all, it was her husband's administration that cut off all kinds of land from energy production all in the name of "the environment." It seems that the Rust Belt's residents are paying an extremely high price for Clinton's 'environmental legacy'.

It's time that people started calling the Democrats on this issue. After all, they've stood in the way of every meaningful energy policy that would've increased production and refining capacity until this past summer. Now we're a decade away from seeing the benefits of the end of that obstructionism.

Hillary's mentioning that Bush caused Katrina shows just how stupid the moonbat fringe is. If she told them that Bush had horns and a pitchfork, they'd believe without questioning.

It's sad that that's the state of the current Democratic Party.
