What would Amy Klobuchar do if Chuck Schumer said that it was every Senate Democrat's duty to not sponsor bills with GOP senators? That's what I and other Minnesotans want to know. Amy hasn't spoken out about Schumer's command for a shutdown in bipartisanship once the immigration bill is behind them. What we know is that she's followed his advice on staging photo ops, like her taxpayer-funded photo op at a Brainerd gas station yesterday.

Here's what John Stanton said in his Roll Call May 24th article titled "First Victim: Bipartisanship":
Chuck Schumer, head of the Democrat Senatorial Campaign Committee (DSCC), has told Democrats not to help Republicans, "by co-sponsoring legislation, jointly signing letters to other colleagues or the administration on key policy issues or agreeing to conduct joint events with vulnerable Republican incumbents, a Democratic leadership aide said."
Ms. Klobuchar hasn't said anything on many issues actually, leading me to wonder Does Klobuchar Stand For Anything? I'm not the only one asking that. She hasn't taken a stand on the immigration legislation being debated in the Senate or whether she'd endorse a photo I.D. for voting. What we do know is that she's said that she wouldn't have voted to confirm either Chief Justice John Roberts or Associate Justice Samuel Alito . I can understand how a lefty like Klobuchar wouldn't vote for Samuel Alito, though I vehemently disagree with her. It's quite another thing for her to say she wouldn't have voted to confirm Chief Justice John Roberts, who got upwards of 75 votes.

Frankly, it's unfathomable to believe that that's any serious person's picture of leadership. It's easier to think of Klobuchar as a photo op politician who's totally devoid of any substance or qualifications.
