Minority Leader Pelosi: Doom & Gloom As Far As the Eye Can See
That's the caption that would be given to
Nancy Pelosi's press release on the state of the U.S. economy.
It'd be wrong to say that Ms. Pelosi hates America but it isn't that much a stretch to say that she hates anything Bush or Republican. It isn't a stretch at all to say that she hasn't had an original thought since becoming Minority Leader. That memo could've been released each month for the past 30 something months. In fact, it possibly has been with minor changes to it.

"Today's report confirms that the Bush economy continues to go in the wrong direction for millions of American families, who are living paycheck to paycheck and struggling to make ends meet. Gas prices have doubled, oil company profits have tripled, while real income has stalled. Middle-class Americans are feeling squeezed, while the Republicans' Big Oil cronies are rewarded with tax breaks and subsidies that are driving up our record national debt. Democrats have a plan to take us in a new direction that brings economic opportunity and security to all Americans, not an economy that work for just the wealthy and Big Oil cronies."The only 2004 talking point missing from this is the comparison of Bush's economy to Hoover's zero job growth economy. Democrats are once again invested in the economy's failure. They don't acknowledge the least bit of good news in the economy.
