Does Klobuchar Stand For Anything?

That's the question I'm asking myself after reading these posts from KvM. Here's a sampling of "Why Is Klobuchar Silent on Immigration Policy?" :
Last week I called Amy Klobuchar's campaign office and asked whether she supported the border fence that was recently passed by the Senate. Klobuchar's campaign staff said that they had not really discussed the issue.

Since immigration issues are at the forefront of the political debate around the country right now, I thought I'd try again to find out what Klobuchar thinks since she wants to be my U.S. Senator.

I've called back to ask the Klobuchar campaign 2 simple questions.

Has Klobuchar decided her position on the border fence yet?

Would Klobuchar have supported the "English as our national language" bill that just passed the Senate?

A simple 'yes' or 'no' would suffice.

But I've called 3 times now, and each time they took my name and number, (which I openly gave them) and said that they would get back to me.

Well, I'm waiting. How much longer is that Political Director going to be in that meeting?

If anyone one else is curious just where Amy Klobuchar stands on these important issues, help me.

Here's a sampling of " Would Klobuchar Support a Photo I.D. for Voting":
While you're lobbing a call to Klobuchar HQ, you might want to ask how she would vote on the bipartisan recommendation of the Carter-Baker Commission for photo I.D. requirements as a prerequisite for voting. The Senate (the legislative body she hopes to join) will be voting on the matter this week.

As recommended by the Commission:

First, to ensure that persons presenting themselves at the polling places are the ones on the registration list, the Commission recommends that states require voters to use the REAL ID card, which was mandated in a law signed by the President in May 2005. The card includes a person's full legal name, date of birth, a signature (captured as a digital image), a photograph, and the person's Social Security number. This card should be modestly adapted for voting purposes to indicate on the front or back whether the individual is a U.S. citizen. States should provide an Election Assistance Commission template ID with a photo to non-drivers free of charge.

Second, the right to vote is a vital component of U.S. citizenship, and all states should use their best efforts to obtain proof of citizenship before registering voters.
These seem like fairly straightforward questions. They're definitely questions of import. Frankly, I'm doubting if Amy Klobuchar stands for anything before the Senate votes on any legislation.

Now you get it. She's up in Brainerd today harping about gas prices, but meanwhile she says nothing about immigration. Why? because her opinions are probably very far from what Minnesotans like and would want from their Senator.

Andy, I always got it about her. I just hadn't posted much about her because I thought KvM was doing such a good job highlighting her faults.
